what is meant in the terms and conditions as "using the account" every month?
Would a DD or monthly transfer suffice?
    thanks!
Where does it say "using the account" every month"?

Can the £1500 you need to fund the new Natwest acc include the money that was switched from your old account?

    TIA

DAK if you can switch a solo current account from say Tesco to a joint Natwest and still get this offer?
The switch offer has the following quote.

"Joint accounts will only be eligible for one payment."

This appears to confirm that switching to a joint account is fine.

The question as to whether money switched counts towards the £1,500 has been discussed at length in other threads on this board

there is no exact agreement so I think I'm right in saying that the consensus is don't chance it.

I would almost empty the account that is being switched to be on the safe side.

Then you can pay in the £1,500 at your leisure before 12th July 2019.
  • So to clarify, you only need to pay in £1,500 once? Then you can use the account with as little as you like?

A one-off £1500 payment for the £125 switching offer, then use the debit card once a month until June 2020 for the remaining £50 payment.

Yes and just for additional clarity you can transfer out part or all of the £1500 immediately or at any time of your choosing it doesn't have to stay there

Do you think setting up a reoccurring online card payment eg Netflix would count as the ‘using debit card once a month’?
Apologies if this has been covered before

not if direct debit but if you gave netflix the long card number then yes.
