To save compulsive switchers from looking up the detail: if you have had a switch bonus from Natwest or RBS since October 2017, you're not eligible.0

They're just rubbing it in for those of use who grabbed the £125 :_(
Ah well, mine is getting plumped up with DDs for the next switch ;-)Retired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."0 -
Super! Switched :money: :T
I also found Little Debits bank switch guide helpful, just can't seem to link it0 -
Can I open one of these without having to do the switch process straight away? (obviousy switch before 7th June!)0
-
[STRIKE]Yes you can.[/STRIKE]Ignore me. Thanks YorkshireBoy for spotting my mistake.0

I'm not so sure colsten...Yes you can.New customers must:
(a) apply for a NatWest Select, Reward, Reward Silver, Reward Platinum or Reward Black account (‘eligible current account’) via natwest.co.uk, or through a branch, between 8 April 2019 and 7 June 2019. As part of that application, you must transfer a non-NatWest current account to your new eligible current account...
That text seems to say you must, as a new customer, initiate the switch there and then...unless one can opt for switch date well over the typical 30 days or so? Probably need 8 weeks. Do NatWest allow such a distant switch date. John can't switch later into an existing account because it wouldn't have been opened prior to April 8th.
John, if this is for a Tesco account in June I think I'd go early and miss out on a little interest (not all of it because you'd make 1.5% AER in a savings account for the last month).0 -
I am not doing very well tonight, am I?!? They sneaked in the ".... opened prior to 8 April 2019" which I overlooked. So no, you can't, if you want to get the switch bonus.0
-
DAK if you can switch a solo current account from say Tesco to a joint Natwest and still get this offer?0
-
what is meant in the terms and conditions as "using the account" every month?
Would a DD or monthly transfer suffice?
thanks!0 -
