What a childish response, but luckily I quoted the entire OP in post #2.

Often the case from people who moan about companies who followed the t&c when they did not and then don't get the answers they want on here either.

True, they don’t really want an explanation, all they want is tea and sympathy.

Another point, usually overlooked, is the state of the battery in a rarely used phone... also, a test call costs only 3p on Three or O2 PAYG, so a £10 top up will last years, so no excuse for not testing the phone monthly. A monthly call would stretch to 27 years use, weekly would last 6 years.

Not sure why you quoted me, ....

The gist of my post related more to the fact that all networks require a live number to issue a PAC.
Because of the ambiguos word "live" that you used that time and use now.

You aren’t arguing that a live sim isn’t a requirement for porting from, are you?

Now can you work it out for a quarterly text? :p

No, I am not. Because I don't know what 'live SIM' means.
If it stopped working in my phone I'd say it was dead, but it's possibly just me.

Also, it can be damaged/faulty and can be replaced in this case.

Just the common terminology of something being live.

Live sim, as in still working.

Dead sim would equate to one that didn’t work anymore and had been deactivated.

That was exactly my point. If the SIM stopped working because of inactivity, this doesn't necessarily mean that it can't be reactivated. Some networks give you certain timeframe to contact them and reactivate it.
