no , you appeal as keeper , no blabbing about who was driving , not in your appeal , not in your posts on here , its a secret (or it would be if you werent so free and easy in your story telling)

the KEEPER and the DRIVER are 2 different entities

never hand these people ammunition on a plate

edit your posts above (posts #1 and #9) , the driver wasnt parked illegally , the driver stopped by the kerb etc

appeal as keeper using the blue text template , 26 days after the parking event happened
  • Thanks, Redx…..I'm too darn honest for my own good :) Thank you all for your time and patience... :)

Everyone is asked to read up on this in the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread

Go there now to learn about the game you are now caught up in and how to deal with this

If you want further help then please start your own thread rather than hijack someone else's like this

Some posters have set up a signature, others haven't. At the bottom of this post you will find my signature that tells you I married my cousin.

Underneath Coupon-mad's post, her signature tells you where to look for the NEWBIES and what to do when you have found it. It is not a link so there is no point in clicking on it.

Alternatively, near the top of this thread, click on the link to the main site that reads,

    > Parking Tickets, Fines and Parking >

or, click on the Forum Jump "Go" button you will find near the top or bottom right of this page.

Read the sticky thread for NEWBIES and follow the advice.

Hi all, the driver of my car has just received a £100 UKPC parking charge.
All the threads seem to be old, and mention to ignore these parking fines. Does this still apply please? Reason why I'm asking is because they now state on the back of the notice that the charge has been issued "in accordance with the Administration of Justice Act 1970" and that they may request the registered keepers details from the DVLA too....
So.…..should the driver just ignore the ticket please? Thank you all :)

My partner received one such ticket a few months back for apparently parking in a space that had clear signs with NO PARKING allowed....to UKPC dismay they didnt realise that he had taken photo's of the area he was parked in because someone told him when he stopped there they had gotten a ticket a few weeks previous for parking in the same spot, and UKPC tried the same scam. He refused to pay the fine and presented them with photo's of his car parked and clearly no NO PARKING signs visible.....after 4 attempts to try and get payment from him UKPC gave up, because he basically said he wanted to fight it in court. No they do not have the right to enforce parking fines on private land and the fact they now claim on their tickets they can i believe is a case of fraud. UKPC have done this kind of thing to many many people in my town alone and people are now refusing to pay any tickets they issue because of their total disregard for the law and their dishonesty. Another prime example of UKPC fraud was when someone parked in a retail car park over night, during a time when parking charges were not levied. I believe it was 7 am when all cars parked on that basis had to leave the car park, This person left at 06.45 but when she arrived at her car she already had a ticket on the car....thats how dishonest and scamming they are. If i were you i would refuse to pay and ask them to fight you in court. My own personal opinion obviously, but this company need investigating in depth by trading standards ASAP.
    Hope this helps a little
  • Sorry forget to mention in my last message...regarding the place my friend parked with No NO PARKING signs and the subsequent fight with them .......the spot now has very clear crisp NO PARKING SIGNS there LOL.....proving beyond doubt they were on a con for as long as they could get away with it.....and my friend complained to some government board or people person and the warden who had issued the ticket has now been sacked and has had many other complaints lodged.....so dont be put off by official looking quotes on their tickets most of their reasons are BS anyway they are scam artists of the worst kind

Daniel, the OP has not been back here since the 8th of April, and has not told us how they got on.

Yes, UKPC are scammers, but they cannot issue fines.

Well done to your friend for beating them, but they can and do regularly take people to court.

All the advice anyone needs on how to fight parking scammers can be found in the sticky thread for NEWBIES.
