Parking Eye or Land Owner - who makes the money

Afternoon All,

I've had a quick scan but couldn't find anything to clarify who makes all the money from the Parking Charge Notices?

The school car park where a lot of locals (myself included) have received PCN's from Parking Eye, claim they have no control over the actions of Parking Eye, nor do they receive any income what so ever from the parking fines.

Could this be true, will landowners really bring in a company like Parking Eye if its not going to help them generate funds? Are Parking Eye so aggressive with their enforcement because they make all the profit ??

Comments one and all greatly appreciated, along with any pointers as to where I could get details of income received by the school (private) from Parking Eye

Thanks

parking eye will agree to take over parking force the school providing they (PE)n keep all money from invoices

however it might be asked HOW can an anpr camera stop people parking ?

in a lot of cases the school CAN ask PE to drop case , I do hope that one person that has recieved a ticket is disabled , fun could be had with both the parking co and the school

    Interesting, Thanks for that ...

The school in question is getting a lot of social media grief because of the actions of PE and their stock answer is that they have no control over the actions of PE, they cannot over ride any decisions made by PE and PE were only brought in to stop members of staff being verbally abused during arguments over parking and to ensure that their parking spaces were kept free for their use ....

Not quite sure why any company (or school) would want to release all control to a private company or how ANPR cameras help with argument prevention or keeping bays clear??

Also not help by the fact that there is apparently a public right of way or Byway open to all traffic, running through the area in question ??

ahh , so now people verbally abuse a camera?

    thats ok then

the school EMPLOY PE , just like they do teachers and other staff , you will be telling me next that the school cannot tell a teach (or staff) what to do

school "spokesperson" speak with fork tongue

tell the school to boot PE out and to buy some collapsible poles for teachers spaces or put gate on with fob access

I thought schools were supposed to be a centre of learning, it seems like this school is administered by silly people who don't do their homework.

It depends on how PE have agreed their contract with them, most PPC's allow a number of cancellations per month after which they charge a small admin fee, and usually the more savvy landowner agrees a small back hander of £10 per successful OCN

In the Beavis case, PE rented the car park from London Land for £1,000 per week. IIMU that they too all the revenue.

    where is this school?
    state or private?
If private, is it a charity/charitable trust?
If state, is it an Academy, or is it under LEA control ?
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"

If a charity, complain to HM Charity Commissioners.

    Upper or Lower?

Google maps shows two different roads. I guess this car park?

IMHO from working in a school, the priority should be security so they should pay for a buzzer entrance gate.

OFSTED give bad ratings if security/access to the school grounds is too open to anyone, and too open for kids to walk out unaccompanied. Quite right. That school needs gates!

ParkingEye serve no-one except themselves, so appeal the charge as per the NEWBIES thread and stop looking at the red herring of income. ParkingEye are likely to keep it all and provide the dubious 'service' of issuing penalties, for 'free'.

Jolly wheeze, eh? Have the school not heard of protection rackets?

Do you have a Golden Ticket issued late? See NEWBIES tread picture in post #3.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
