Same here marahouti. I'm going to give it my best shot to get my 14 day demented reindeer smiley before Christmas Eve and then if that's it for December I'll be happy. This means declaring early (to strengthen my resolve) for a rare AF Friday.marahouti said:I'm trying to get at least my target days in early as most of next week will be drinking days😉. I might manage a couple more before I kick 2020 into touch, we'll see. X
11/10 AFDs please Cathy2 -

One of the hardest things in my moderation journey has been not responding to stressful events with alcohol. I'm afraid though that when I heard that my Christmas plans (mark 3 I think) were cancelled I opened a bottle of wine. I have a learning disabled adult son with autism who has found the changes to his routines and expectations this 'covid' year incredibly difficult. I promised him that he would be coming to the family home for a few days where we would spend Christmas together. I now have to tell him that he can't 😔.3

Marahouti, that sounds very tough, sorry to hear it, and hope it won't make Christmas too difficult either for your son or you xx

That's horrible marahouti. Feeling for you and your family and sending a virtual hug. I don't blame you opening a bottle. I'd definitely do the same. Both my DDs are key workers so we made no plans. It's the hope that gets to you. ☹️4

Marahouti, I hear that and I feel for you. I am sorry.

Thank you so much for your kindness. I have spoken to my son's care manager and my husband and I will be permitted to enter his accommodation on Christmas Day (we haven't been able to since March). We will take his presents (and stocking😃) and plated up Christmas dinners and have a couple of hours with him. Not the Christmas day we hoped for but better than seemed possible a few hours ago.3
