Giving up/ Cutting Down Alcohol Thread Part 16

I'm not a beer drinker myself but Honey Bear had great success giving up and switching to Becks Blue.😊
Target day for me today but really hoping I can do another week of cutting down. At least there won't be any parties to go to! I might even get that over excited reindeer before he starts his rounds on Christmas Eve. 😉
10/10 AFDs please Cathy.3 -
8/10 for today please cathybird2

Well I've drunk everyday since the beginning of this month and there's no chance that I'll meet any targets! 🙈 I'm just accepting that December is a none starter and will do lots better in January 😉3

December is a tough month and re drinking generally I couldn't tell you how many goes it took me to get it under control when I first started trying quite a few years ago smushesma ... good plan re Jan xxsmushesma said:Well I've drunk everyday since the beginning of this month and there's no chance that I'll meet any targets! 🙈 I'm just accepting that December is a none starter and will do lots better in January 😉

Hey Smushesma, hands off my December prize! As far as I know I'm the only person who didn't manage a single day one December. Only kidding I am totally happy to share this dubious honour! For the record I wish I'd done at least one day - 0/31 was really a sign I'd given up on the whole year. I also remember staring at the Christmas tree in the middle of the night after far too many boozy nights out feeling so jaded and over the whole festive season by the middle of December. I kind of wish now I'd managed at least one, just on principle!smushesma said:Well I've drunk everyday since the beginning of this month and there's no chance that I'll meet any targets! 🙈 I'm just accepting that December is a none starter and will do lots better in January 😉
I'm undecided about tonight.
I've been reading the first thread again and now know for sure I joined the thread in October 2008. I have had periods where I didn't post for a while. I'm really pleased that I found this thread as it has meant an average of over 2 days a week AF for me since then - over 12 years on here is a really odd thought. I'm not saying I wouldn't prefer to have more AFDs and I would still like to decrease my consumption. I also still haven't hit the magic dancing banana for the annual target of 150 - think it is something else this year. We all used to post rambling essays compared with the current thread - so far (p400 out of 508) we haven't even had the bright idea yet of adding up our days each month!
Hoping you are all doing well still.4 -
Today is 12 of 17 for me. News that Northern Ireland are going into a 6 week strict lockdown on Boxing Day...... just back from getting my hair done, as it may be some time before I get it done again! Must not let this derail me the way I let it in March/April

Counting today as 16/18 please cathybird. I’m hoping for an AF weekend.3

Good morning everyone.
I am 17/20 for yesterday please cathybird. Thank you. X
I'm trying to get at least my target days in early as most of next week will be drinking days😉. I might manage a couple more before I kick 2020 into touch, we'll see. X2
