hi coveredinbees
and welcome!
Did you want to join the challenge? ... It would be lovely if you did! Obviously we're halfway through October so you could go target-free or have a small target for this month ... or you could join at the beginning of November, if you liked? Up to you!

Coveredinbees!!!! said:Neither of us have had anything tonight expect tonic and lime, didn't miss it at all tonight. What I find a bit odd is waking up with what feels similar to a hangover when I haven't had any alcohol, I don't have it during the week???
I find sometimes I feel hungover if I sleep in later than usual even if I'm AF.
5/17 for me for yesterday - a rare AF Saturday!3 -
Seems very quiet on mse apart from this thread! I think we have to give ourselves a collective round of applause for keeping going and remaining accountable during these times. I’ll be seeing my one year anniversary on this thread in January and plan to continue with it it’s made a massive difference to me having somewhere to hold myself accountable to!5

10/20 for me today! I’m going to need to up my game if I’m to hit my target this month I think, so will be attempting an AF week before an afternoon tea date with the girls on Saturday.CoveredInBees!!! I can also resonate with your story, I find it very hard not to drink on a Friday or Saturday evening - I know it’s just a habit, but a tricky one to break.Books read 2023 - 49/753

Thank you everyone for the welcomes and the suggestions for alternative drinks! 😊 I'll definitely be trying lots of them!
I've thought more about how to do the next couple of weeks before my month long abstinence starts - I've decided to buy no more spirits (I've only got about 3/4 of a bottle left) and I have 2 bottles of wine left. I'll drink alternate nights (I currently drink daily) until they are gone, then I'll be alcohol free until 31st October (I celebrate this date as my 'new years eve' so will only buy enough to do that day/night). Hopefully this will help ease me into the change of habits 😉
Well done everyone on what you're achieving- some impressive reductions are happening! Hopefully I won't be the one to let the side down! 😉4 -
Been a few weeks since posted in here
Currently 3/14
Had almost 2 weeks holiday off work which included a week in a static caravan with a hot tub so as you can imagine alcohol was consumed, however after last month doing 15 days without alcohol for the first time in probably 7 years i really found myself only wanting 1 or 2 beers rather than the 5 or 6 i would of done when on holiday.
Definitely feel like i have come out of a massive rut that i had got in for the last 3 or 4 years when drinking had been a daily routine.
Things are all looking good outside of resisting alcohol aswell, i decided to have a massive money makeover and get my act together. That has meant cashing in some savings and paying off a car loan and credit card, not sure why i didnt do it a while ago but i feel miles better knowing i dont owe anyone anything.
