Yes, manpants, I'm sure it was Honey Bear that you remembered. She took a break from the thread when she was busy campaigning for the last election and I think, realised she could go it alone and generally wanted a break from social media. Well done on your Stoptober to date. 😁
Good to see you Annie. That's quite some challenge you've taken on. Does 'no beer' mean AF?🤔 I could easily sign up for that as I never touchy the stuff!🤣
No drinking today. I have a planned drinking day tomorrow as we're out for a meal with friends. Treats are few and far between at the moment so I'm having a drink with it.
3/10 AFDs please Cathy.5 -

ManPants, agree with marahouti and maman that it is Honey Bear you are remembering. She posted here in late July to commemorate six years of sobriety and said it was her plan to post here every year on the same date to celebrate her anniversary. Before that she posted in February saying: "I've missed everyone, but I think I have to face up to the fact that much as I value everyone who's been so incredibly supportive of my AF journey for the past five and a half years on this MSE Thread, I may not contributing daily from now on. I keep meaning to and then life sort of happens every day. I have caught up this time but next time I may not and I don't feel right just dipping in occasionally. It's being part of the community that makes it so powerful." So I think she just came to feel that after several years of not drinking she no longer needed to post here every day to maintain her sobriety. She's missed though! As you say she always had sage words to offer others on the thread.

Yes, Honeybear is much missed for her wise words.
3/10 for today please cathybird3 -
£3,000 can pick up a great one (FSH etc). They handle like go-karts, have the "luggage space" of a packet of crisps and are pretty good on MPG, I got 40 from my last one. Insurance is cheaper than expected too, but I had a restricted mileage so that helped.marahouti said:Fabulous car Rob🤩 That's a lot of £5s! Good luck. Maman, One Year No Beer is a company that runs AF challenges, of varying lengths, and has a members community on Facebook where people can support each other. I have only signed up for a 28 day AF challenge but we will see where that takes me.maman said:
