Cathy, I'd be delighted if you start the Free Maman thread! I feel a bit bruised by today's efforts. It reminds me how tenuous our existence on the new forum is now it's run under such a different owner etc. I just about managed to stop sulking over the ugly new layout but this has set me back again. Mind you I need this thread so I hope there is some caring and reasonable explanation.

I will do WBF, would be very happy to, will do that tomorrow morning as I want to think about the wording. I feel bruised too, and upset on maman's behalf, and I don't like that a longstanding member who is so kind, positive and supportive to other members can just be cut off like that without any apparent means of appeal, and without any answers being given as to why. I hope we do succeed in helping her.

It is hard to imagine that any row she could get into or any advertising link could have been so bad as to have undone all those countless helpful posts over all these years. Surely there should be a warning system or something proportionate when someone has been so important to the forum for so long. I agree completely. Perhaps it should be done as a more general petition asking them to reassess their banning process and right of appeals and just using Maman as a specific example? I don't know how to go about finding facts out about how many are banned and for how long and for what either when it's all hidden behind a standard privacy reply and we are all separated by our anonymity. It totally sucks. I will think about wording tomorrow too - mind you I witter on with far too much blither so I'm not sure I'm much use to you! I am glad it's bothering others too. Tomorrow is another day.
