I haven't decided whether I'm going to have a drink today. My DD, SiL and DGD are coming over this afternoon and a glass of something in the garden might be nice. DD is still breastfeeding though so I might keep her company with an AF spritzer 🙂. I will as usual report tomorrow. X2 -

Cathybird and marahouti are on course to hammer their targets this month.
This business of people joining up then disappearing again is an interesting one. There is a correlation I think between joining, posting heaps of times in a short space, then dropping off again after the initial flurry. I think people just have things they need to air on here, it must help I guess, then they can go back to dealing with it in RL. Last year there was a poster called Manpants I think (I am not singling them out individually, just as a way of illustrating what I mean), they joined with a flurry of posts and updates for a few weeks then - nothing else.I am definitely the steady plodder type and I think sometimes this helps me to stay the course with things.
19/31 for me please. We had a barbecue last night and it was a very warm, balmy summer evening here, I have to say I was tempted by the idea of a nice cold beer in the garden. But in the end it really wasn’t that hard to say no.4 -
I think posters who come and go do genuinely want to give up/cut down. Sadly, we all know that it's not easy and we have all fallen off the wagon from time to time. What matters is that you jump back on. That could be the next day or the next month or the next year. This happens all the time but I think the pandemic has made it harder as it's perhaps a challenge too far for some. But if that nagging little voice is there telling you that you need to cut down, you' can't shut it up for ever.
Well done on sticking to the AF spritzer marahouti. 👏👏👏5 -
A bit of a social weekend. So only one extra to report.11/18Live for the moment and plan for the future3

Back on the wagon for this evening, committing early for 3/18.
Had a lovely week out of London last week and I fell off the AF wagon the week before too. If I csn drink because 'I'm away on holiday next week' and then drink because 'I'm away on holiday now' I figure it's time to make sure I don't use 'I was away on holiday last week' as this weeks excuse!I am one of the people who joins things very exuberantly and then drops out. Often due to embarrassment and feeling bad if I haven't achieved overambitious targets and plans. Realism and self-forgiveness are not strong points for me. I am glad I keep on posting here even if I'm bringing up the rear of the leaderboard.5 -
Wanna Bee Free - do keep posting even if to report little success on stopping, whenever I stop posting it inevitably means I drink more and stopping posting results in an even longer time lag before restarting the quest.I'm also a bit behind this month as we have been away for a few days as well but it's Monday and I am restarting so will declare early for today 10/18 for Monday. I have a planned event on Thursday too so will have to be very careful to achieve my target this month - no s*d it days!4
