Hello all , sorry was away , been busy moving , and did it on my own to save money ,,,, hence it too over a week to actually get sorted ,,, but I’m in and happy ,
As for drink , well I have drank a fair old bit lately , it was that or have a breakdown!
But hopefully I’m back to normal ,,, I’m anything but normal ,,,,!
2/15
I did exactly the same when I moved, for me was the same as you, drink or have a breakdown!
It's good that you have got it done now though. I was so stressed during and after the move that I didn't enjoy my new home and it's took a few weeks to love it here.9/18 and 2SNC
Green Karen - it's possible I made the third night sound too easy. I would have loved a drink of wine last night but it was also good to be not drinking. I think food and wine go really well together but can't do the just one glass routine. You and Cuppatea expressed the feelings so well about taking those first few sips, for me it's a feeling of 'phew' and relaxation, letting go of difficult parts of the day. And I suppose if I could just have a single glass that might be okay but I have accepted I can't do that (only took 20 years or so, I'm clearly a quick learner). So for me I hope to keep to not drinking 50% or so of a month and not feel the need to open another bottle at the end of the first my OH and I may have shared, I think that's ok. I can't remember who said it's about not remembering how long it was you last had a drink and I aspire to that.
Complicated business this cutting down / stopping isn't it?
Yes I agree, one glass isn't worth bothering with. I would feel that was a waste of using an alcohol night, may as well be AF if I don't feel the full effects of the alcohol!You're right there Maggie and GK!;)
I can identify with so much of what you said. I don't have a problem jumping back on the wagon. When I've decided not to drink then I don't. BUT, if I've decided to have a drink then I don't want to limit myself to one glass. Sometimes I choose to, especially if it's lunch out somewhere (I know daytime drinking makes me sleepy) but otherwise just the thought that it's the one and only glass I'm 'allowed' spoils it for me. I'm definitely an 'all or nothing' person although pleased that I now know where my stop button is.:)
No drinking today. I've decided!:D
6/10 AFDs please Shaggy and 2/4 for the SNC.
Funnily enough hubby informed me last week that he thinks I am an all or nothing person when it comes to alcohol. Surprised he has only just noticed after 17 years of being together!
Early call for tonight;

11/18 and 4SNC for tonight. Very pleased weekend is getting nearer. But will be waiting for second smiley until next week as I intend to have a drink on Friday - it's a ritual that I really enjoy. TGIF and all that.
Quite agree Maman I rarely have a lunchtime drink, even just one, because I want to sleep and then lose the day! One time when I am not tempted.0 -
7/16 for me for last night and 2/4 for the SNC. Thanks Shaggy!0
