Giving up/ Cutting Down Alcohol Thread Part 16

I caved yesterday. I stayed strong whilst OH opened wine but then the colleagues social watching everyone drinking on video was the final straw. Especially knowing there was a nice cold white open already.
April is another month.
Cathbird, I love the trampolining one for 150 - thank you! I will get back on track and not procrastinate until the Autumn and then panic and miss my target.7 -
I had a drink yesterday so confirming 26 for March and 81 for the year please.
I hadn't intended to drink but I received shocking news yesterday. Someone I knew not well but over many years has died from Coronavirus. She was in her sixties and, so far as I'm aware, had no pre-existing health issues. I was and am taking the current situation seriously but now that someone I have talked to, ate and drank with and have people in common with has joined the statistics it's suddenly more real. Stay safe everyone.
I know this thread isn't about CV, there are others for that, but I just wanted to share because my immediate response to the news was reaching for a drink; not good.7 -
It's 1/21 for me today

The figures released about the increase in wine sales are an indication of how easy it is to turn to the booze at this difficult time . Although I suppose it could be seen as just a shift from wine normally drunk in pubs and restaurants. Either way this thread is really helpful.
1/10 AFDs please Shaggy.

Hi Guys,A lot more food and stuff in our local Sainsbury's this morning.....even.....Loo ROLL...Still AF - so I've done 3 in a row....In the end, I'm quite pleased with how March went AF wise. Given the amount of stress. I really am hoping for good things in April.Hopefully, the weather will warm up again soon.ShaggyxPS Indirectly I now know somebody who's died of COVID19. My cousin's girlfriend's Aunty. They have all been in contact with this Aunty and my cousin has asthma...not good.I also know a couple of women friends who think that they've had it. Knocked them off their feet for a month. What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.6

CuppaTea said:I'm ending the month on 17, posting early but feel confident I won't slip as nothing in the house. I've already given a friend my shopping list which didn't include wine.
Have a good day all and stay safe.
Did you mean 19? It's just that your previous post was 18...

1/10 AFDs please Shaggy. They are perhaps just stocking up though. I stocked up on my favourite Aussie Chardonnay as the guy that sells it to me said that he was having difficulty getting Aussie wines.Yesterday, I went to our local Sainsbury's to stock up on lager for DS and dark beer for DH. The only lager left was 2 large bottles of Corona (I did buy one!) and four bottles of Sainsbury's own brand porter, so I bought 2 for DH. There was a bit on the shelf today but I had other things to buy on my one "allowed" shopping trip...What do we do when we fall?
