Thanks maman and actually I am going to assume Arkers will do the same, having been TF this year. :)

I'm up to 10 for the month with 9 left to make it to my 2019 target, so a yearly total of 174.

I'm happy with that as I have made the last two weeks' of SNC. Looking forward to a few glasses tonight I must admit, but will taste all the sweeter as I didn't give in to temptation during the week.

I don't feel able to commit to a 2020 target yet, so I might just stay target free for now.

    Thanks arsenalbarnie and Pollyanna :)

I enjoyed the Christmas do last night, it was just for our little section, and it was organised by me. Everyone seemed to be having a pretty good time. I did get mildly tiddly but am not hungover this morning apart from a slight tiredness. I've got another Christmas lunch tomorrow but no plans to drink today so it's 12/21 :)

I don't know if you are looking in on us Honeybear but if so sending you best wishes for the final couple of days of this crazy election campaign and wishing you stamina for Thursday night. Hope you get a rest afterwards. X

Thank you Marahouti. It was utterly exhausting as our Count involves three constituencies. Not only was I an agent, by OH was acting chair of the party and agent for one of the other candidates so we were both heavily involved running a team to monitor everything and obviously had to stay until the bitter end. The last of our results was declared minutes before 6.00 am by which time I'd got toothpicks propping my eyelids up. (I did 23.5 hours straight through.) I admit my chocolate consumption over the past few weeks has been ... excessive.

This isn't about party politics so I'm going to say it. If anyone ever gets the opportunity to attend a general election count, please, please go. I've been attending them for years and it is amazing watching 155,744 ballot papers going through the final part of the process to the point where the result is declared. Vive Democracy.

I've been thinking of you too HB:wave:. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all your campaigning will come good in the end. :)

Thank you Maman. My candidate kept her deposit, and if we were to identify the party and constituency you'd be amazed - we were! I agree - no actual discussions on politics here please because we all know just how divisive it is and it would wreck everything that's good about the thread.

Cathybird, please could you put me down for 366 for 2020 - it's a leap year. There is one occasion on which I will, eventually, drink my share of a bottle of champagne but it won't be happening in 2020, that's for sure.

I've caught up with the thread at last, and I echo everyone's gratitude for the work that Shaggy and Cathy Bird do to keep it going. Thank you thank you thank you.

    14/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.
