    No addition, just my Choices!

As long as you have thought about it. However if you are an addict then your choices can be influenced by your addiction, without you realizing. If you do go to AA for a long enough time, then you'll realise that the addiction is pretty much nothing to do with Alcohol.

I was intrigued to see what went on at AA so I went to see for myself ! It’s not really for me , but it is for others .
I Love this thread , this is what has made a difference in my binge drinking , checking in daily ,Counting AF days , not total abstinence,
being nice and supportive to each other and above all kindness and not judging each other !

Have a good time Shaggy . I enjoyed a ghost walk in York, perfect for this time of the year. 👻🦇🎃
  • Thanks for the many supportive comments everyone, it is appreciated.

Had a very sensible and gradual couple of drinks on Sat after so long out of the game, 27/28 thank you.

loveasaleyou are doing great. Just keep on making those good choices and you’ll get there.

The actual stopping drinking is only part of the AA journey, but it only works if you need it and are ready for it. Just watch out for replacing one addiction with another, it might take a while for it to surface. Using people as drugs, exercising, smoking and eating disorders are common. As is over working.

    I wish you luck.
  • Evening all !

Thanks Honey Bear, it's good to be back. :)

Barny, hope the endoscopy went okay - I've had one, back in the day, thought it was a pretty bad experience, but at least it doesn't take too long. :(

I have one every two years :-)

    25/26 AFDs today
  • No drinking here today. I was very tempted but kept to my intentions.

8/10 and 2/4 for the SNC. Shaggy, enjoy your trip to York. My OH loved the railway museum.
