Updated SNC and monthly challenge above ^
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Small dog is now renamed Layla, is aware that the word might have something to do with her because she hears it so often, and is conked out on the sofa again; the end of a clearly exhausting day for her. She's still far too interested in the cats, but I'm working on several different aspects of how to merge them all without it going disasterously wrong. Thank goodness for Cat Protection League videos and the internet.

Declaring early - no of course it's not because I will get a smiley!
7/15 and 3SNC - thank you Smily and Cathybird for bringing new thread up to date. Hoping to stay AF tomorrow although in a hotel, always a temptation to have a glass of wine with dinner and then on hols for a few days but I will keep reading and posting as otherwise it is too easy to get back into the habit of a drink, even if not much, nightly. It's amazing that I seem to acquire bad habits much more easily than good ones.

Good luck with the house viewing lovasale - hope it is want you want.

Lovely to hear how Layla is settling in - she sounds great fun. I love the way dogs can suddenly decide something is scary having been quite happy with stairs previously. Ours is getting older, he is snoring comfortably near me now but you wouldn't think it when he is on a walk doing circles at what feels like 90mph!

A brief, accidental but successful nose to nose between the small tortoiseshell cat and Layla between the bars of the babygate this morning. No hissing, no bottlebrush tail, no barking, just a meeting. Very, very happy about that. It's not the first time they've met but the most controlled and successful. Early days, there will be ups and downs, but it's a real positive.
