Thank you everyone for your welcomes and kind words. They are much appreciated. I'm chalking up 2/8 please. It wasn't difficult tonight as I had some friends round and everyone drives. One of them has MND and we ended up calling an ambulance as she was choking severely. As I sat waiting with her, it dawned on me that I am spending alot of time ruining my health when I actually have a choice not to do so. She has no choice and is trying her hardest every day to be as good as she can be. A bit of a wake up call for me. Perhaps it's time to try harder.0

16/15 please so actually for once beaten target! I am away soon so may not achieve any more this month.
Shaggy I'd love to join the lose weight thread and will aim for 14lbs - although given hols I am not really expecting to start until late October. I'd also like to achieve 10 AFDs for October. Just going to go back to look at annual targets bit I know I am behind because of August so may have to have a very dry November which should help on both fronts.0 -
19/20 please Shaggy and 2/5 SNC. Thank you. X0

What a frightening episode, Slowdown. I hope your friend has now recovered, and that you find your friendship with her helpful with your wish to be in control when it comes to alcohol. It might even be your 'lightbulb' moment, when everything seems to change for someone and what seemed impossible before becomes very do-able.
Congratulations on beating your target Maggie M! Hugely well done.
24/30 please, Shaggy. I regret to say that even signing up for the Shaggy Weight Loss Club didn't stop me eating a bar of chocolate AND a cheese sandwich yesterday. *sigh*Better is good enough.0 -
