Morning all, 3/21 for me today please.
Pricey, I remember when I thought the thread was shut down too - it was awfulThere were a few days when no one knew what was happening. Remember Bailey? I hope she's okay out there, wherever she is.
Also thanks to you and maman for your kind words - I love running the annual challenge, hope it helps people. xxxx This thread always has been a lifesaver for me. I'd be in a very different place without it, a much worse place.

Interesting article in my newspaper this morning:
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/times2/i-was-a-midlife-boozer-but-it-left-me-between-a-rock-and-a-hard-place-tck97xqwf
You may not be able to read it without a subscription but the gist of it is that the journalist was a regular, daily drinker who had far too much on July 9th, fell over and hurt himself and decided enough was enough. He's not had a drink since. Familiar story but one that will resonate with so many of us. What was particularly interesting was the comment he made that so many people know the dangers of drinking too much but have never really tried to cut down. That's where we're different.
I had a drink yesterday. Just a single gin which was a bit of a waste but that was yesterday. Today I'm getting on board for September.:)
1/10 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -

The thread is 12 years old next February....What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
