  • Good luck today Arkers will be thinking of you.

Well my wound is playing silly b*ggers and not healing in places. Am taking vitamins now and resting more. It could be due to my fat belly and stress. Swab came back and at least am on the right antibiotics. Am resting more and doing lots of meditation. No more afds to report. Have been very restrained restricting myself to a couple of glasses with dinner but it has to stop. I think am in a tizz about tomorrow.

Could I go for 17 for August please Shaggy.Let’s see what today brings.
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.

*Healing vibes* for you Arsenal Barnie, and *Good Luck vibes* for you Arkers.

Thank you for my 5 Year Banner, Shaggy; much appreciated. Seeing it made me realise that if I hadn't put it in my diary, this year I'd have skated right passed the date without remembering when I stopped drinking, or in other words the anniversary of the disastrous night out. I'm not sure when that transition happened; I used to be able to count up the number of days exactly, every single day. It was somewhere between two and five years but I can't remember when. 30/31 please.
    Better is good enough.

Thinking of you arkers and sending all positive vibes your way.:)

Be kind to yourself arsenalbarnie. Focus on feeling better for now and then you can put your mind to being AF. It's hard to deal with several difficult things at once.:)
I hope you don't mind me rejoining?

Of course not DIA, good to have you along again.:)
Being AF 5/7 days a week will suit me and stop a glass of wine of an evening becoming a habit.

That's a good plan. We've all been there and I wish I could say it was only a glass.:o

I'm really hoping that I'm going to get my 14 day smiley this month. Shouldn't be a problem. :)

    13/10 AFDs please Shaggy.

Thinking of you both Arkers & arsenalbarnie - sending you my very best wishes.

Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary HB - that is quite an achievement :j:j:j

Not doing so well this month - didn't get out of the holiday mood after I got back and have been having too many 'sod-it' days :o - won't reach my target this month - declaring early for today on 10/12 but as I am away with work on a stop-over training course tomorrow/Thursday there will be some alcohol involved as we are being taken out for a meal tomorrow evening ;)

Must try harder for August :p

Thanks for putting my target up Shaggy :T

    Hello
I've been super busy so haven't been on here much, but I've clocked up 20/18 in July.
Not sure whether I'm drinking tomorrow, I have a work event, I'm playing it by ear.

Love a Sale, if you want to give up booze completely that's great and the secret is to never give up giving up. We all know what we should do with our lives, but as Shaggy's signature says: 'What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.'

It took me several attempts over several years to find my Stop Button, and in the end I did it in exactly the same way as I did when I stopped smoking. Without the advice to Never Give Up Giving Up I'd still be smoking and drinking. You're here and that's a great place to be. Good luck.
    Better is good enough.
  • July has been a bit of a fail. I've only managed 5/10 AFD but I'll try again next month. Please put me down for 10 AFD for August.
