Good luck today Arkers will be thinking of you.

Well my wound is playing silly b*ggers and not healing in places. Am taking vitamins now and resting more. It could be due to my fat belly and stress. Swab came back and at least am on the right antibiotics. Am resting more and doing lots of meditation. No more afds to report. Have been very restrained restricting myself to a couple of glasses with dinner but it has to stop. I think am in a tizz about tomorrow.

Could I go for 17 for August please Shaggy.Let’s see what today brings.

Thanks Arsenal, good luck with everything today. Quite right that you are resting and taking it easy.

    Good morning everyone,

    21 please Shaggy x
Saw the Consultant yesterday. Knew from his demeanor that the news was positive. Cancer was all removed and the grade remains low, I just have the 3 weeks of radiotherapy to get through and meds for the next 10 years. I feel so much better than I did a month ago.

Just wanted to thank you guys for all your online support, I'm really surprised I just haven't opened a bottle everyday since diagnosis and I credit this thread in helping with this. I didn't even celebrate last night as the weather was rubbish and I wanted to sit outside in the sunshine, so I thought I'd save the drinking day for when the weather is nicer. This wouldn't have even occurred to me several years ago.

I watched the news report on the provision of services being cut for those with drinking related health conditions. I felt very sad for the people that this had affected, however I thought how short sighted this is, those people who have conditions attributable to smoking and obesity don't seem to face the same level of cutbacks. These people need more support in the community not less. However it was a sobering piece and made me grateful that I can control my drinking most of the time.

Hopefully August will bring more sunshine.

    Arkers x

Good luck to arsenalbarnie for today. We'll be thinking of you.:A

I'm pleased with my July score. It would have been so easy to sit drinking in the sun. Hopefullly August will be a good month for all of us. :) Thanks Shaggy for taking care of the scores (and us:D).

    14/10 AFDs please.
  • What brilliant news Arkers - you must feel so relieved. Best wishes to arsenalbarnie too.

I am calling it for today because it is month end, 31/31 and now 95 days consecutive AF.

Onwards to August and I will have 31 as my target please.

I hope you don't mind me rejoining?

I am about to be much more home-based and I want to put a structure in place before the days get shorter.

Being AF 5/7 days a week will suit me and stop a glass of wine of an evening becoming a habit.

So, for August I would like to achieve 22 AF days please?

    Many thanks :)

    Welcome and Good Luck!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
