Who owns the land to the right of your fence with the prickly bushes?
Your planning application plans show a proposed 4 bed?
Looking at No.8 plans and the one behind yours those corner house had great big plots with that extra parking/turning pinched fro mthe gardens of the other
How much more were they new?
I'll do my best to answer.
- Land to the right is a hedge its on a slope so not useable belongs to houses to the side.
- Yes they did have big plots they are the next size up from mine with a separate garage which no 8 obviously did. Yes the turning circle does look like it is pinched from mine but we knew that when we bought it. It has been nice not have anyone next door to the right.
- the smallest were £79k mine was third size up at £84.5k no 15 in the corner was £110k out of my price range at the time. How I wish I had that now.Moved to Denmark for FIRE by Aug 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

how are they maintain that strip it might concern some as it can impact the fence.0

A section is shown on each house deeds about three of them that also has a shared drive. It is cut down by them and has been for the last 20 years no problem. The fence is 6 foot so you don’t really see it. The bit at the bottom is the same belongs to corner house. There used to be two trees but they are now gone so it’s just some scrubs.Moved to Denmark for FIRE by Aug 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Just thought I would add this to the story in case it helps others. I had a leaflet dropped through the door saying a buyer was looking for a 3 bed property up to £550k in my area and to ring the number. I did and it was a local estate agent of course. I explained I had a property coming on the market and could I help their client. No was the answer not unless I would sign up with them then I couldn't get access to their VIP buyer as she described them. I do wonder if the buyer ever existed I bet they just saw my empty property. Oh well no big loss.Moved to Denmark for FIRE by Aug 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

I'm trying to digest it all are the two row for sale and sold or 3b and 4b please can you remind me. Sorry for being dim. In the one you say 3 miles out again what are the row number of houses? Thanks
There are "for sale/SSTC" pairs for 3bed only and 4b plus.
The second st is just 3beds

Quick update we have sign up and it's gone out on the agents mailing list but still not live on Rightmove. First viewing is on Monday might be the gentleman who passed earlier then told us he was running back home to tell his parents who lived in London. Not sure but getting lots of interest indeed with the sign up. Never done selling so really strange to just watch it happen from such a distance.Moved to Denmark for FIRE by Aug 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

So first viewers has offered £368k and estate agent said to push for more they came back with £370k. First time buyers are buying theirs they have had survey done already and my buyers have a family member who is a solicitor and can push sale quickly.
Viewing booked for Thursday but they haven't had offer on theirs so inclined to go with £10k less just for a quick sale hopefully as I've seen one I like up at £388k..£10k less aren't bad in this day and age.Moved to Denmark for FIRE by Aug 2025 “May your decisions reflect your hopes not your fears”

Sounds like you did all the right things in preparation of the property for sale, we did similar with ours and got 2 offers, one of which is 98% of the asking price, within a week. We probably spent around £600-£700 on cleaning the drive and patio, bark and gravel for the garden, new plants, a planter, hanging basket and thank goodness it was only a week, I can stop buying flowers!
I'm curious about your new choice, the back garden is way too shady for me. Looks like there is plenty of opportunity to modernise. Not keen on the gas hob, much less the location in the middle of the room and with no extraction. Would need shifting IMO or an extractor adding which could be a challenge.Make £2026 in 2026
