Bought a car and seller reported me for theft

I wouldn't take a bankers draft. They are different for every bank and not being a banker I have no idea how to spot a forged one from a real one.
I suspect the fact that the OP has the car, the seller has the OP's money, and it has taken days for him to decide he was robbed in some manner, will be enough to ensure that the plod don't care.
Based on both their confusion over the what the original sum was meant to be, how many notes they had dropped between them, and the fact it's a pretty small sum, I doubt the police would care anyway considering what else they have to deal with now.0 -

So you're saying he's lying?
It's not about saying the OP is lying. There is always 2 sides to a story and without hearing both sides it's difficult to make a conclusion in such cases.
How many times have people been involved in RT accidents and the other party has admitted liability at the scene only for them to change their tune afterwards?0
