yes I meen PCN number with dates , you want Mr clark to be so appauld at hid members that he contacts them and gets them cancelled before BPA get more flack

times are a changing at the BPA cannot afford more bad publicity

That is excellent - you have said only send him two pictures - all the main signs had the word penalty covered over but what about this one that someone had clearly removed enough of the tape to show the word penalty

according to this sign , you HAD to spend £10 or you were sent a ticket for £25 ???? !!!!!!

    wait2.jpg

that clause is also worth pointing out , as on many occasions they were out of stock of your favorite ??????

This is probably one of the reasons they totally changed all of the signs - yes its ridiculous !!!!

yes that is better than the other one , go on about penalty and as i said above you MUST spend £10 , no option of buying ticket

do not harp on about spending excess time , point out the above , and ask the BPA if hey have record of auditing there signs ,

Instead of the clever questions in that letter, why not just write to either W’s or JL’s CEOs a simple letter of complaint and ask they intervene and get the tickets cancelled for regular and genuine customer(s). Send copies of receipts/bank/cc statements to prove patronage. If there is a loyalty card in play, quote its reference number.

What were you going to do with the answers to those questions, had they all been returned? I’m not surprised they’ve ignored your letter, especially as there is no requirement on them to respond. The detached legal department will have no interest in your parking charges, too far away from them to care I would say.

    Thanks Umkomaas.
part of the proposed strategy was to write back to JL nd make a complaint firstly about the fact that no response was ever received from the original letter from them. I think to make a strong complaint is also very good thank you.

in respect of the other letter that came from someone on another forum and I have no idea what was going to happen if they had answered the questions. the person helping at the time said to go back to them when and if a response was ever received. So as this was way back in 2014 it all got forgot about.

There is a loyalty card but the RK always pays in cash and doesnt keep any receipts so its not possible to provide those but the loyalty card should be sufficient.

But the CEO of JL will now be informed of the shoddy behaviour of their Mr Guy Walton who was their principle lawyer at the time ,

I am sure JL will not want any adverse publicity in the local press

Thank you . - they are basically identical except that this one has clearly been sabotaged probably by someone else who had the same issue.

Quick question. - correspondence will be sent to John Lewis CEO which will probably be a good old fashioned letter as well as an email and an email sent to the chap at the BPA. My question is what is the correct response to send to BW Legal in the first instance - the deadline is the 11th to provide a response

I've just read that and its hilarious - but I am a bit confused - are you telling me to esentially write back to them an give them two fingers and tell them where to go .

Have you got an example of that kind of letter ???

You should respond pointing out the holes in evidence and the lack of POFA.
the photos used to be taken by Waitrose staff I believe, if it's anything like my local, and they used to take two photos both timed at the end!
There were no photos on the 2016 PCN's and the images on the PCN in 2018 are too small to read!
And ask Britannia for a SAR including all photos taken regarding all PCNs (list them all) and prove the emailer is the RK by attaching the V5C to save any delay in the reply from their Data Protection Officer.

Britannia PCNs never did have the photos on them, not windscreen PCNs, but you used to be able to log in and see the photos, and more than once I helped people locally by pointing out they'd taken photos timed at the end of the parking period and none at the start, so no evidence showed an overstay as alleged.

This is why Britannia now tend to use ANPR instead.

Your family do know to cover your numberplates when entering/leaving supermarket car parks, yes?

NEVER hand them the VRN data at all; there is no law to say you must, except when back out on the street (ASAP) you must make sure your VRN can be seen of course.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks whitehousecat. - I shall look at that but to be honest the main reason I am here is that I have no help at ll on that forum apart from one person telling me to read POFA and learn it -

So I wont be posting there as I have had so much help in a few hours here this is excellent and I am hugely grateful as I am a total novice at this and hav never been faced with a court case before - I am just trying to help the RK
