I am another one who did this texperts test and didn't pass but I only took it in the first place because when I enquired about working for AQA, they said you have to have a degree (?!) and I don't have one. Do AQA really only take on graduates? That seems ridiculous to me. You are only conducting internet searches and I don't see why a degree is necessary for that. I realise that people with a degree might be considered by AQA to be superior to non-graduates, but if someone with an English degree (who might be hopeless at science, for example) gets asked a science question, they would have to rely on internet searching to get the answer - they wouldn't just "know" it. So I don't see why us non-grads can't work for AQA - we're just as capable of using search engines lol. You'd think you were applying to work at NASA!

There is no mention of needing a degree here

So out of everyone who has passed the test, who has been waiting the longest?

I received my email at the beginning of November 2007, not heard anything since.
  • I have been waiting since the end of October for the training session - losing my excitement at passing now!!
    DFD - April 2011 - come on!!:T
  • I too passed Texperts and was accepted on 2nd February, I wish they would give an indication of their next training round just so people aren't hanging in there it seems unfair really.

True, but when I was sent my application form by them, it definitely says you need a degree.

I'm sure some people on the aqa threads said they had got in without one

I applied at AQA about 2 years ago and i noticed this as i dont have a degree, i emailed them and asked about this, their reply was they they dont need you to have a degree BUT they obviously ask for this as they are looking for well educated researchers, if you can do the job, you can spell and grammer is good then they will take you!

Hi, can someone tell me how to apply to join them?
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
  • Seriously guys - on this one I would give up for a while. One of my good friends is a Texpert and they are apparently hugely overstaffed at the moment.
