Hi,

I'm hoping people can tell me if their experiences with LSG as I have made a claim with them on the 28th of March (2 days ago) and I've been reading online about the issues others have faced,

In brief I upgrade my phone annually as i love my tech and a few weeks ago I purchased a new phone with earbuds for it. I've had the phone a few weeks and on the 28th I lost it with the buds at the airport, I did my best to try find them, ed airport departments, shops in the airport to no avail. Called network to report it within 2 hours of noticing and also LSG.

Completed lsg claim form and sent off same day with all documents, receipts and proof from network the phones been blacklisted.

I called the following day to check if its been received and they said yes but passed to claims investigation, I thought no problem but then she said once it's with them they don't have set time to resolve and could take a while.

I searched online after and there's cases where people have been waiting weeks, I've got a temp phone I can use but really need this sorting.

Is there any advise anyone can give that's previously dealt with them?

I did previously lose a phone 3 years ago and they resolved it within 1 working day but this time I'm quite concerned as it was a new phone and quite expensive.

Any advise would be great!

did you register the new phone with them? (I don't think you have to, but it helps)

    Hi,

No, to be honest I only registered my phone when j first took out the account with Lloyds and since then never did. I'm definitely going to each year now

Following this, just called today and advised still with higher assessment team and there is no timescale for a reply.

Just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this and any advise? I did ask if they needed anything more from me but they said no.

Just getting abit stressed out now as I've read online of other people waiting weeks.

    Thanks

WHY? Do you really expect a decision within just six days - including a weekend? By week three you'll have a heart attack. Why worry about things you can't control - especially when you've hardly given them a chance to open the envelope?

You lost it - now give the insurance company a chance to respond.

I understand what you mean but they received the documents on Friday and according to the policy it's 1 day to assess the claim from receiving the documents. This started on Friday now it's Monday and they are open to assess claims on Saturday toom

It's a phone that I'm claiming for and I rely on it for work, if it was a courier that lost their phone should they wait 3 weeks? I know it's not been long but I have read where it's taken 3 weeks for other people and thats really bad considering it's a paid service and they've advised of no timescale whatsoever.
