you can tell me the same thing as many times as you choose. It still will not make it a factually truth.
RENTSHEILD provided a false report to CHEFFINS...fact! What don't you understand?
It is RENTSHEILDS resposability to get it right...first time! What don't you understand there?
It does not matter WHERE they get their information, THEY are passing it on as THEIR report. What don't you understand?
If callcredit is wrong the RENTSHEILD should stop using it and produce false reports with RENTSHEILD letter heading all over it therefore making it THEIR report. What don't you understand?

Clearly you just don't want to accept that maybe just maybe your friend hasn't been totally truthful.

The information provided by Call Credit to Rentshield is the exact information that would be provided to a credit card or mortgage provider.

Once again they only collate and pass on information provided by the lenders so your beef is with which ever lender hasn't provided the correct information as has been stated by a few people already. Your friend needs to apply for her credit report from each of the 3 agencies and then she can see who hold what and then go about correcting any incorrect info.

That's me done, hope he/she gets it sorted

You clearly don't want to to accept that what I have stated are the facts.
I have seen both reports and the land registry and can confirm that apart from one ccj everything as accounted for as she reported it to me.
It appears givng out false information regardless who who gave it is endorsed by RENTSHEILD and further encouraged by CHEFFINS with no accountability or repercussions to them. quite the opposite...they charge for this "service"!
Then get you to rectify "their" false records!

Sounds like a scam the !!!!! could only dream about instigating!

For the millionth time THIS ISN'T THE FAULT OF RENTSHIELD OR CHEFFINS !!!!

If anyone is at fault here it is either the financial institutions that provided the credit reference agencies with incorrect information, or your friend for not checking with all three agencies before making an application like every other sensible person does.

    It's not hard to understand.
CHEFFINS contracted RENTSHEILD because they claim to provide an accurate report.
RENTSHEILD provide an inaccurate report that the tenant is made to pay for.
CHEFFINS use RENTSHEILDS inacurate report to give to Landlady.
Landlandy refuses tentant based on the inaccurate report by RENTSHEILD.

HOW RENTSHEILD made it is irrelevant. They should be doing what they were paid to do....an accurate report.

If they can not do this then DONT GIVE A FALSE REPORT!
For the millionth time try and read asnd understand! IT is very simply.

lol..so it is my friends fault that RENTSHEILD use agencys that do an inaccurate report?
Not RENTSHEILD for not using an agency that can do it correctly in the first instance?

    Great logic!

So going into CHEFFINS and asking to see houses for rent and then being told she had to pay for the privalege just to look equates in your mind to NOT being a sensible person does it?

What a small tiny world you live in.

To be pedantic, that's not really what Rentshield say they do. They say they do things like:
    • Ask for a reference from a previous landlord
    • Ask for a reference from an employer
    • Get a credit reference report from CallCredit/ TransUnion

...and make a decision based on what information comes back.

    So if
    • a landlord or employer fails to reply, or
    • a landlord, employer or credit report gives incorrect (adverse) information
    • etc, etc

... then the applicant may be unfairly rejected.

I suspect that system works well for 95% of applicants. But maybe gives bad results in 5% of cases - either unfair acceptances or unfair rejections.

The problem is that the cost of making the system 100% fair would be prohibitive (e.g. Long detailed interviews with applicants, discussing financial circumstances, lie detector tests??? etc.)

So sadly, your friend fell into the unfortunate 5%.

So bearing in mind that the system also has to deal with very devious liars and cheats (not like your friend), how do you think the system should be changed to make it fairer?
