CreditExpert is part of Experian, so it will show information theat Experian hold.
However, Rentshield say they use a different credit reference agency: Callcredit - which is now renamed TransUnion.
So your friend should check their CallCredit/ TransUnion /Noddle report, to see if contains incorrect info about their CCJs.
Here's what Rentshield say:
Oddly there are about 6 address for her that she has never lived at! Which again proves how useless it is I think.
It wants an upload of the change of data which she can do on one of them.
There appears to be a CCJ for one of these different addresses. I assume she needs to write to the court to get the information about it? Or can this be done online at all do you know.
I find it very strange that companies are allowed to put down what information they like (address's) and this then seems to become a "fact".0 -

You'd probably do better asking questions about getting credit reports corrected on the "Credit File & Ratings" board.
It's here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2570 -
If I was the landlord, it would be the fact that the tenant appeared to lie about the amount of debt she had.
As soon as the credit check says £18k, more than double the £7k declared by the tenant, all trust goes out the window.
If your friend had told the landlord at the beginning that the debt was £18k but explained it was about to be paid, that might have been fine. At least your friend would have known before paying for the creditcheck.
Your friend needs to now request a copy of her credit report from the credit rating agencies, and work out what the CCJs relate to. It might be possible (though very difficult) to have some of the CCJs set aside if they are wrong.0 -
Just a note that I am not in any way related to Cheffins but they do have a good reputation in the Cambridge area.0

not only to th LL but to the person paying for this third rate service.
As proven by the 3 year old data they supplied and the withdrawn CCJ by the court.
Rentshield will check the credit agency they a have an account with.
Credit expert will only supply the information supplied to them and don't have access to any of the information held by other reference agencies. if you want a true picture of your credit status you will need to get a report from Experian, Equifax and call credit as some lenders do not report to all three. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I would just like to say that someone with 3 CCJs would not get the tenancy of one of our properties. We have rented to people with one but 3 I think would put most landlords off because it shows a lack of being able to manage money.
So the landlady in question was taking a risk to start with. When they found out that the lady in question had not told them about all the debt she might have worried that the tenant was trying to get the tenancy by witholding information. No landlord wants a tenant who is not totally truthful about their financial situation.0 -

This "new" credit reference is wrong as I explained in the original post so there was nothing to tell. So all trust from Estate Agencies has gone out the window by using bogus and false credit information.
She did explain as I said in the original post that all CCj's were being paid off after the sale of her property.
Seems very odd to me that someone knowing the facts and being offered 6 months upfron rental costs with a further 6 months in 4 months time would go back on their word having known the exact amount in the beginning. If she had 10 ccjs with 50k owing there is still zero risk as the LL has the money.0 -

On further investigation it turns out she only has two CCJ's. a further two were swapped over onto her property as charges. and one discharged.
So Experian are incorrect as well. Just callcredit were REALLY wrong!0
