Thompson and Morgan - plants still not arrived
Ordered two lots of fruit bushes via Thompson and Morgan in early Feb when it a special offer appeared on the moneysavingexpert weekly email. Neither has arrived. Anyone else got theirs?
Will I be entitled to cancel so I can buy elsewhere if it doesn't come soon? Their trustpilot reviews are absolutely appalling so I am not hopeful!

What despatch time was given on the offer.
Despatch times are often in a few weeks time.
I have ordered from the several times and not had any problems with delivery.
I currently have an order from 31 January which has a despatch date of by end of April.0 -

We have this every year with offers. If nothing else, it warns others to be careful. Maybe if people Googled before buying from certain firms... but at least it wasn't a P*rs*mm*n house, or S*f*styl* windows, just some plants. They'll turn up eventually, and if others' experience of these offers is anything to go by, it's 50:50 regarding how pleased you'll be.0 -
What you are entitled to do depends on the terms and conditions of the offer. I'd guess that if you didn't google the reviews, you didn't look at the T&C either.

I didn't Google reviews as I've had things from T&M before and been happy. So assumed I would be again.
But no, I didn't read the T&C. Wishing I had now.0 -
We've just cancelled a T&M order that should have been delivered by now. Whilst the refund is yet to hit my account, they were quite happy to promise to cancel and refund.
We said we'd never order from them again after previous similar problems, but very stupidly decided to chance it again.0 -

Thanks Mufi. It's such a good deal I am loathe to cancel. Will see how it goes for a bit. Eventually it'll be too late to put the plants in if they do arrive!0 -
Just to update, the refund has now gone back into my bank, so no complaints (apart from about their dire delivery times).
Remind me not to order from them again.:)0 -
To be fair, I've had a similar problem with another well-known on-line supplier with no great price advantages, just good collections which save multiple sourcing.
They also offer a 'no quibble' guarantee....except when I did object to being sent a dead plant they argued that it was "always late to emerge." It was like the Dead Parrot Sketch, until I mentioned this place and what I'd post here if a living one didn't wing its way to me, pronto! :rotfl:0 -
I had the same things with a clematis; the order kept getting pushed back. It finally turned up, not looking particularly healthy. It didn't live much longer.
I now buy most of my plants on ebay; I find the service is generally fine, the prices are decent, and people aren't selling stock they don't possess.0 -
Sadly, T&M have become a bit hit and miss lately.
I buy my cordon/dwarf fruit trees and soft fruits from www.pomonafruits.co.uk
Not the cheapest boys in town - but great quality. After all, fruit trees are a long term investment rather than a one season wonder.0 -
They are quite local to me (well, their distribution centre is) and as a Suffolk company I do favour them. It is clear there are some issues this year (possibly a legacy of the summer of 18 and the problems we all experienced). I ordered seeds in Feb and received the Broad Beans last week - about 4 weeks after everything else (they will be planted this autumn now). It is different with living plants - I urge you to complain in writing - they have always been good at rectifying any issues in my experience. I suspect there are problems with some of their contracted growers.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £564.77 out of £6000 after January
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £301.10/£3000 or 10.04% of my annual spend so far[/COLOR] annual
