We'll have £1,000 of Amazon vouchers in a month or so. They spend just as easily as cash! We'll use them to buy birthday and Xmas presents and maybe something for ourselves (but only things we would have bought anyway), whilst you use your cash. Out of interest, can you even get £1,000 of hard cash switching incentives these days?20SmthngSver wrote: »...I'm not really interested in vouchers, just cash incentives :rotfl:0 -

Hi. I've had £350 since February.
£125 from NatWest. I stayed with them literally until they paid it, so 7 weeks or so from start to end.
£125 from First Direct, via MSE. Also opened their Regular Saver.
£100 from Nationwide. Someone on here referred me. Also opened their Regular Saver.
My Tesco Bank balance, plus a bit from my everyday account, will give me £1000 bonus on my Lifetime ISA.
I've done about 4 switches in the last 5 months so I want to give my credit file a break for a while. There's nothing enticing around at the moment.0 -

:eek::eek: Times must be good if people can afford to turn down £500, or £1,000 between 2.20SmthngSver wrote: »There's nothing enticing around at the moment.
. Fair enough. Though opening current accounts barely affects your credit worthiness.20SmthngSver wrote: »I want to give my credit file a break for a while0 -

How would I get £500 from Santander for switching to them? I thought it was a £50 Amazon voucher.
I know, but I want it to stabilise a bit.0 -
You can get £250 very easily by being referred 5 times to switch 5 accounts to Santander. Your referrer(s) would also get a total of £250.20SmthngSver wrote: »How would I get £500 from Santander for switching to them? I thought it was a £50 Amazon voucher.
You can get £500 by reciprocally referring 5 people.
You can get £1,000 as a couple by doing the above with each other.0 -

Most people don't. But opening donor accounts can be very quick if you choose the right bank.20SmthngSver wrote: »Ah right I don't have five to switch!0 -

You have one account at least, Tesco. Get another Tesco and that's two. Just need 3 more to max the offer.0 -

My Tesco one is a no requirement account. Another would mean their pay in and DD requirements.
I'll wait and see if any cash incentives come up. I'm using it for double points on petrol in the mean time.0 -
Will the first one pay you £100 between now and June? Figure based on earlier option 2.20SmthngSver wrote: »My Tesco one is a no requirement account. Another would mean their pay in and DD requirements.
The requirements for the second account are irrelevant.
But you seem set on not taking advantage of Santander. Do you qualify for TSB's offer?0
