The new card has a balance and the old one has disappeared?0

You can and we have! It was in the offers section
Well I'm blown away:eek:
First of all well done on getting a cracking 0% deal I'm not a doubting Thomas type person BUT I (like the others on this thread) just cant believe it.
In all the years I have used credit cards I have never seen an offer like this and just to clarify, are you saying you had/have an old MBNA card at 29% AND you have transferred it over to a new MBNA card and they are closing your old card down transferring everything over to your new one?
When you say it was in the offers section, can you elaborate on that or be more specific, what I mean is I have had plenty of BT offers over the years but nothing offered that would make me think I could BT over to MBNA account from another MBNA account.
Just really curious but glad you got the great deal.0 -

He's paid 12 years of 29% interest they probably think they owe him something for the thousands of pounds of interest he's paid them ha!0 -
The 3rd bullet point says the balance will transfer to the standard APR, not the 0%.
Might be that the 0% only applies to balance transfers from other card providers?0 -
-
You have got me worried though, the old card has disappeared and it would be weird that they would give him another card with the same limit on it the standard APR is 21.93% on the new one which is still better though, ill have to wait til the statement comes out for clarification I suppose0

Just logged into my MBNA account and I have the same offer, transferring existing balance to a new 0% card. Seems like Lloyds bank (new owners of MBNA) are making big changes.0

Either that or your just as daft as I am and the rest are indeed correct lol 😉0

I should mention that when he initially got this card 12 years ago it was a Halfords credit card and it only changed to MBNA?0

I have 5 offers in my offers list. Maybe someone else with an MBNA account can clarify this offer. Lloyds group is now the biggest credit card provider in the UK, and can offer these types of deals to existing customers.0
