I'll understand if you groan, but I'd consider emailing Tesco's CEO yet again. The circumstances in which I'd give it another go are if it's a big Tesco with a cafe, clothing, homewares etc. and any of those applied on that day. It can easily take me half an hour to buy and drink a cup of coffee and an unfeasibly long time to decide which mat / mug / plant / jumper to buy. I'd say such stores need long parking times.

Come to think of it, it often takes 10 minutes to disengage a shopping trolley, another 5 - 10 minutes to visit the loo, usually at least 10 minutes at the checkout ..... right, that leaves an hour for all the shopping ... oh hang on, got to get in & out of the store and load the car! And this particular Tesco allows 90 minutes max parking time??!!

If you can be *rsed to do a similar breakdown of the visit on that day, it'd be an interesting exercise. Mr Tesco bigwig has probably never done a supermarket shop in his life, time he wised up (and cancelled that PCN).

Hello everyone! This is the response from Tesco. It looks quite "cold" and it does seem now that I will move both my shopping and banking habits elsewhere.

    " Good morning
    Thank you for your email.
I am sorry but I am unable to pass your email to our CEO. Mr Lewis set this office up to respond on behalf of himself and his Board. Due to the nature of his role he is unable to respond personally. However, he does take a keen interest in all correspondence to his office.

What is your opinion on that? I have not yet had any answer from my appeal with Highview.
    Thanks

Clearly Mr Lewis is far too important a person to have to dirty his hands in dealing with lowly customers!

I have already provided the info with the Clubcard and this was their response. I have also provided them with the amount of transcations I help within 2018-2019 with their Bank and the amount in savings. They know everything, and yet this is their answer.

In other news Highview just cancelled the PCN, literally after my first attempt by sending the template.

Great news! Now, on the TESCO side, I am really sad by their behaviour and I will cancel everything I hold with them. Such a shame, to not support their customers...

Make sure the ceo office and the branch manager know what you've done. Hitting them in the pocket is the only language they understand.

Haha, we knew Highview would roll over, but certainly consider boycotting Tesco.

But be careful where you shop, as in fact, these are FAR WORSE and sue people:

    Aldi - ParkingEye
    Asda - ParkingEye
    Morrisons - ParkingEye
    Waitrose - Britannia
    Sainsburys - Horizon
Lidl - Athena (but they don't sue)

Or go for home delivery and avoid any PPC - if you’re prepared to accept food with only a short shelf life remaining, or happy to take a bottle of bleach as a replacement for the out of stock pork pie you put on your order!:D

In my opinion, you don't have to show your personal data to scammers. But we don't condone not paying a reasonable fee to park and have never posted or suggested anything like that.

You can keep your car on your own or someone's driveway (or in a car park to which you are invited) with the numberplates, wheels or whatever, missing and you can cover your car too as many people do in the Winter.  All perfectly legal.

Not on the public highway, as far as I understand.
