If you really want help then answer the questions that you have been asked.0 -

You have already been given all the help you can reasonably expect based on the scant information you have provided. If you believe there's more people on here can do for you, you need to give us more information. If you don't want to do that, you could try your local Citizens Advice Bureau - but again, don't expect them to come up with any magic. They'd also need a lot more detail than you have provided here. Alternatively, just wait for the FOS to make a final decision.thefruadmanz wrote: »You lot stop been so negative and help me0 -
It sounds like the cheque was either forged, altered or stolen. Any of those things going into your account will trigger fraud proceedings and end up with a CIFAS entry being logged against you.
Who did the cheque come from? Not just "from your family" - who gave it to them (if anyone), what was it for, why was it given to you?urs sinserly,

My uncle gave me 3 cheques to post into my account for new car and there all came back as unpaid0

What did your uncle give as the reason that all three bounced?thefruadmanz wrote: »My uncle gave me 3 cheques to post into my account for new car and there all came back as unpaid0 -

The vast majority of people genuinely want to help but it can get frustrating for all involved when new posters ask for help and provide insufficient information for anyone to really provide a useful answer, or slowly drip feed information in drips and drabs. If you want a helpful response it will help to provide all the relevant information up front in one go so people can take the time to carefully consider your situation and provide their best informed response.
From what you've said, it sounds like the bank have initiated a fraud investigation as they believe the cheques from your uncle were not authorised and suspect you of submitting them fraudulently. As you have exhausted the banks complaint's procedure, there is little more you can do whilst waiting for the FOS to complete their investigation. You will just have to sit tight and wait for it to sort itself out - if everything is as you say it is then they will remove the marker eventually. In the meantime, I'd echo zx81's post and void making any further account applications until it is sorted, as they will most likely be declined whilst the marker is present.0 -

That alone would not result in a CIFAS marker. There must be more to this than you are revealing. You cannot expect people to help you if you only reveal part of the story.0 -

Ah so 3 cheques bounced.
As mentioned there must be more to it as you wouldn't get a CIFAS for some bounced cheques.0 -
Could you also tell us when you deposited the cheques - all on the same day, or on different dates? If so, how long apart?thefruadmanz wrote: »My uncle gave me 3 cheques to post into my account for new car and there all came back as unpaid
Did your uncle get a CIFAS marker, too, for those bounced cheques? If yes, what type? Has/have his account(s) been closed? I presume your account at Nationwide got closed?0
