Well, Amazon delivered the cubes today and I can’t wait to try them next month on my trip to Australia. I’ve just got to get the ‘rolling’ right which according to most of the YouTube videos is the way to make the most of them.0

I am a recent convert to the Marie Kondo method of folding clothes. Especially good for t-shirts when packing for travels. Google her method or look on You Tube for video demos.0

I think Lidl have some packing cubes in this coming Thursday.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

Have a great trip and enjoy your cubes . Used mine now for the first time and very pleased left some things in but hung up my tops and DH shirts and trousers but not jeans left them in the cubes.0 -
I have been a packing cube lover for a while now.
Here are my tips
- always roll unless you are packing trousers and long dresses then fold and lay them on the bottom of the cube.
- If you are looking for a cheap option and you arent going away soon, go onto ebay and order them directly from China. They take a while to arrive but are the same quality as the cheaper ones on amazon
- for backpacks, go with compression packing cubes. These SORT OF work with carry on luggage but you have make sure you arent losing space with the bulge that these give. I found on a recent trip where i had to pack 7 days worth in a carry on it luggage bag, that the compression ones dont actually save that much space in square suitcases unless i am doing it wrong. I recommend the Gonex compression cubes on amazon. They are good quality and affordable.

I was literally just about the buy these, when the Mrs asked where I'd heard of them. Came back onto the post to show her and saw your reply. We are off on holiday soon with just hand luggage, only 4 days but I only wanted to take a rucksack. I will definitely be buying the Gonex.
Thanks! :rotfl:0 -
For those thinking of using sealable plastic bags (e.g. tiplok style), remember that these are not breathable. Therefore anything damp will stay damp, and spread its dampness throughout that one bag. Mesh / fabric bags are much better, and easier to compress.0

If anyone is after good value packing cubes then Wilko currently has them three for £4 which is so much cheaper than Amazon. I’m always a bit nervous of very cheap stuff from China as apparently sometimes metal bits can contain lead.0

I have two sets of the Wilko ones and they're excellent.0

lidl has them at the mo, 8 bags for £7.99, no idea how they compare to wilko though0
