Hope this is ok here wasn't sure where to put it.
Just bought some packing cubes on recommendation. Going away for a few days so using them. They seem a great idea. If you use them do you leave your clothes in the cubes when you get to the hotel, or do you hang it all up?

It’s up to you of course but I tend to leave most items in the packing cubes and just hang up shirts and trousers. They certainly speed up the unpacking process.0

Packing cubes are great!
I usually keep in the move when I’m away so leave them in the cubes, though find that things can end up rather creased.Save £12k in 2019 #360 -
After reading this, I have ordered some from Amazon. Love the idea of an orderly suitcase.0

We tend to go away for long weekends so to speed up customs process (ie not having to wait for luggage) we bought some backpacks & I splashed out in luggage cubes.
Love them as I tend to pack things in groups so all underwear go in one, toiletries in another etc.
If I pack tops/dresses then I will hang those up but everything else gets left in the cube0 -
I used them for our recent trip to Sri Lanka, we moved hotel every night or 2, so I kept mine packed. They were so handy, I could put all dressy stuff in one, shorts in another, underwear etc. I just used to get the cubes out of my holdall each night, and as mine had mesh tops I could see what was in each. The advantage was my clothes didn't get creased, and I didn't have to wade through my case every-time I wanted to find anything.
I used them again the other week for a ski holiday, but as I was staying put all week, I unpacked as soon as I arrived,0 -
Thanks for all your replies. Think I'll experiment by leaving in the cubes and taking out the next needed outfit and hanging up for any creases to drop out. We are not moving hotel.0

This looks similar to a system I've used for years using plastic carrier bags to organise things in cases. Even now they are 5p or 10p they are still much cheaper than buying something much more expensive.0

I use large polythene bags with a 'zip seal ' closure. Lakeland have various sizes.0

I'm also a recent convert to packing cubes. Socks/pants in one, t-shirts in another and all of my gadget plugs and cables get their own small cube. I also take a couple of empty plastic bags to keep dirty clothes separate.0

We just saved up all our transparent plastic backs and use those.
We like touring, so it's easy to fish out a particular garment from its back without rummaging and messing everything up.
When we're in one place for a few days the bags go into drawers.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
