UKCPS Notification Letter

Evening all
Received a letter today from UKCPS demanding payment stating 28 days has passed since they last wrote to me and appeal rights have lapsed.
No letter was ever received. Alleged parking incident 07/02 and date of this letter 12/03
Would people suggest I write back requesting evidence, and a reset of the appeal timeline?
They're IPC
Thanks in advance

IPC appeals are usually a waste of time - see the NEWBIES thread.
Can you post more details ie where was this serious breach committed and was this a windscreen ticket or ANPR capture?0 -

Yeah read that and noted but didn’t want to not do anything now I’ve had this letter in case they decide to file a claim in court, I thibk they are known to utilise this?
The car park is on Bridge Street in Sheffield, no ANPR to my knowledge and no windscreen ticket.
As I said before, this letter, which arrived today, is the first I know of it. It makes me thibk it’s a tactic to increase chances of getting money to jump straight to this stage0 -
You could try submitting a Subject Access Request (SAR) asking for all data they hold on you, including but to limited to, the initial PCN or NTK. This should be sent to the DPO of the PPC, which is usually found on their privacy page and you might have to attach a scan of the letter plus a scan of your V5C. Look at the NEWBIE section post # 2 for help on SARs.0

Thanks. I did think about that but considered it might be best only using that option if it goes to court. Unless I can do it again later?0 -
It can take up to 30 days (allowed by law) for the PPC to respond to a SAR. Often you end up with less time than that once you have received your claim form from the court and done the AoS. so wise to do it now - it is free!0

Hi all, received the SAR information which included a NTK which i never received and as earlier stated it was not a windscreen ticket so had no appeal rights either internal or through IPC
Should I be asking for appeal rights or just wait to see if they file a claim?
Before they responded to the SAR I had 2 letters from the, the first the notification letter which prompted the SAR stating my balance was £100.
Then whilst waiting I received a reminder letter (apparently sent 15 days later), balance £130. No explanation for the increase or reference in the notification letter that it would go up.
I then got the SAR through and a day or 2 after it a letter from DRP arrives wanting £160, again no explanation for the increase or warning in earlier letters it would go up.
My instinct is to just ignore and see if they go to court but worry that if they do that the judge may not view m attempting to obtain appeal rights after non receipt of the NTK.
What are peoples thoughts?0 -
Follow your instincts. In saying that I would write to them spelling out you didn't receive anything from them just so you have a paper trail.
An appeal would be futile so I see no point in trying. It's also highly likely they will claim as an NTK was sent the won't hear one anyway.0 -
Thinking of sending the following. Is it OK?
Thank you for your response to my ‘Subject Access Request’.
I note it included a ‘Notice To keeper’ which was never received at my address. Subsequently I have never been afforded the opportunity of appeal to either you or through IAS.
As I have not been afforded any right of appeal I am taking this opportunity to state I am not liable for this parking charge and will strenuously defend any claim.0 -

Sounds fine to me. It leaves no ambiguity as to your position which is good.0 -
