Little update. Tv licence arrears gone...therefore direct debit down to normal amount. £12.50 approx saved per month. Son is now paying £20 p/w keep (into the emergency fund or take off household bills??) Promotion at work...it’s temporary but if so we’ll could secure the job. Email received from one of the loan companies that have gone into administration to say refund due...£46 approx, don’t expect it til Jan 2020 & don’t expect that amount once they’ve worked out all the costs they need to pay. Something better than nothing!! To be honest I have about £60 left to pay on this debt, I pay £5 towards this so hopefully whatever I get will be enough to pay it all off. Need to look at my DMP payments month end as with the few debts that I’ve paid off recently I should be able to pay off a few more before Xmas using the snowball method. Over n out happy Sunday peeps xx

A little update!! £20 in Emergency fund...Woop! Now, the company I spoke about previously regarding a refund...I recieved 3 emails yesterday...first asking me to confirm bank details for refund, it didn’t confirm how much, 2nd email thanks for your payment your repayment plan is as follows..basically £20 left to repay and third email said thanks for repaying your loan we will update your credit file to refelect this. Confused.com lol! So gave them a ring and they said account repaid by refund and also in £50 credit so they will refund into my bank account next week...I’ll believe it when I see it. Also another email recieved from another of my debtors who have gone into administration...I need to claim on this one too. So will do on weekend and hopefully same results. Ps still gamble free
  • Soooooooo....as I was saying....I’ll believe it when I see it. I didn’t see it....no refund. So called company who comfirmed credit balance of £50 showing and request for refund has been escalated. Checked credit file today and it shows loan is now satisfied ....yaay..that’s fine with me...another one gone!! I’ve actioned the claim on the other....not expecting to hear from hem until April. And on another cheery note I have only £10 left to go a CC. Happy days
  • Oh yeah....only £75 left on gas and electric arrears!! And of course last water payment for this current bill year done!!

Had an email from credit karma to say there has been a change to one of my accounts and that it now shows as 2 months in arrears!! Didn’t say who so thought I’d better check. Low and behold as the remaining balance on CC1 was £10 and I’m making £5 payments, they removed the debt management marker and changed it to 2 months arrears. So I bit the bullet and paid it off today. Another one gone!! Once payment for gas and electric goes through end of this month the arrears will be down to £20 approx, if I’ve got enough spare I’ll clear it and request for the direct debit to be set to collect the exact bill amount each month, no more £174 a month!! I’m finally seeing the benefit of not gambling and debt reducing. Next on my list is to try and get a loan and CC2 (both with approximately £40/£50 balances) gone by end of April...then to rearrange the remaining debt plans as will be able to afford to pay more. Thanks for reading:-)

Happy new year!! Been a while!! Well gas and electric arrears gone!! The company that went into administration who were refunding due to a claim have confirmed amount to be recieved £2.46 even though my account was £50 in credit...great!! I won’t moan about as there people due 1000’s and they will only receive 100’s. I use credit karma to watch my debt, they’ve had a revamp and I have to say I’m impressed.
    Still no gambling :)
