You are doing so well. Gambling is an addiction and you have changed your addition to money saving. This is good! Keep it up Suga. You are doing this!

A small but necessary task done today...mobile phone bill reduced to £17 approx due to my child taking the phone contract in and heir own name!! £40 pm saved :)
  • Everything is going swell. Just got a killer of a birthday month!! Four family members!! But I am bargain hunter queen..one bought £10....3 to goooooo!! No gambling of course!! I have one debt that has less than £15 to go, so plan to clear that month end..would do it this month but with these birthdays coming up. Infact if before payday I have anything left that’s where it’ll be going. Slowly but surely I’m making moves

You are doing really well, keep it up, the debts will be gone in no time. I sympathise on the Birthdays. This month I have 2 children, two children's partners, 2 grandchildren all with birthdays and a new grandchild due to be born! Expensive month. Mumtoomany.

How did you survive on the birthday month? I got creative with pictures and cooking them a birthday meal which turned out to be cheaper than prezzies :D
  • Okaaaay....we’ll im an addict....not to gambling anymore, but topaying off the debt!! Catalogue 1....gone!! Checked my gas and electric app...arrears now at £237 (was £1000 + at one point) but with the summer months around £90pm was coming off the arrears which is great, obvs winter months are rolling in so reckon around 5/6 months before that’s gone. Will try my hardest not to put the heating on til absolutely necessary. I did switch to a 1 year tariff with the same provider so when that’s ended I’ll b free (no arrears) to see if I can get it cheaper.
    Had a £12 off a £50 shop voucher from good old Mr J R Sainsbury’s - Thankyou ( they’re getting cheaper...was shocked I was able to buy 30p shower gel!!)
So CC1 is at £20....so tempted to bite the bullet and pay it off now!!) I need to calm down me thinks!!
Trying something new this month...taking £50 cash out on a Monday which I will try and make last a week...top up shop ie perishables, tobacco (only buy fortnightly £13) school trips, travel (tbh I walk everywhere) etc and anything left goes into my emergency fund..which is 0 at the moment...my goal is 300. Any funds left over at month end to put towards Xmas because every year without fail I do all my xmas shopping in one payday...then I suffer til I he next payday (& can u imagine I was gambling on top!!)....hence arrears, payday loans and the he feeling of not wanting to be around anymore. NOT THIS TIME!!!
On a lighter note...when gas and electric arrears gone and council tax arrears gone ...should be around £150 better off a month!! Looking forward to bashing off some more debt in 2020!!
Sorry for the super rambling I’m excited!!
