Just stopped by to wish you well on the no gambling and debt-busting path you have chosen.

I hope you feel pride for each day you are gamble-free. It must be 60 days now. It is such a fantastic achievement!!

    Total = 1750

Son contributes to food shop which varies.

    HOUSEHOLD BILLS

Please note rent should only be around £385, but local authority want you to overpay in attempt to get tenants a month in advance!!

1 mobile is sim only, other due upgrade end of July so will become sim only too!!

Both tv licence and gas and electricity arrears will be cleared by end of 2019!!

Partners contributions reflects bills split in half less of the arrears payments as all arrears my fault due to disgusting gambling addiction.

I do not save, I so desperately want an emergency fund. I hardly spend on travel as don’t drive and can walk most places, OH and son drives.

Son will begin to pay keep towards end of year after next pay rise.

    FUNDS REMAINING

£639 (hopefully I’ve calculated this right)

Next post is the dreaded debt

Ok where’s it hiding I can’t see it.

Next mission is to study the bank statement because clearly somethings not right. I don’t put aside for birthdays, xmas etc just get as I go along, and believe I most likely spend more on food and takeaways, usually have 1 night out a month.

I know what I’ve left out!! I have a revolving line of credit of £570. I repay in full on payday and then reborrow during first week after payday. It averages around the £690/£700 mark, so that’s another £120/£130.
So that takes me down to £240 mark...something still not right. Probably haven’t added things up right, I will check with a fresh brain later on in the week.

Sorry for the rambling tonight guys. If anyone has any suggestions on tackling the above I would greatly appreciate it!! Tbh were i haven’t gambled that’s where the £240 comes from?? But seeing as I haven’t done it for 2 paydays now I can’t see it, but have been doing more with my friends and family lately as can afford to. If this is were it has gone I need to pull in the reigns, get an emergency fund and saving pot on the go.

Please any advice would be great, I think I’ve beaten the gamble demon, now to beat the debt. The revolving one scares me the most, only one charging me interest!!

    Thankyou in advance

What crappy weather eh?? Renamed a savings account through online banking today, “emergency fund”...currently sat at 0....now to work how much to put in per month, don’t want to do too much only to withdraw from it before the following payday. Off to find a bargain Father’s Day present, wish me luck x
