Received the Notice of Transfer of Proceedings. it is for Sheffield, rather than Leeds, which I put down on the AOS. Still, more expenses to add......
Is there anything I can do about a change of venue. Waiting for further paperwork, what is the usual timescale from this point?0 -

No, the DQ was posted earlier in the month, this seems to be a notification of where the case will be heard.0

It was Leeds, that's why I was surprised with the contact details of Sheffield0

Well, with Leeds being a big place, one cannot claim there isn't a county court? You might try phoning CCBC and asking why they did not follow the DIRECTIONS questionnaire?0

I had a chat with Sheffield, and they have the electronic copy, and are waiting for the hard copy to arrive. The judge will then make a decision, and probably transfer it. The wheels are in motion.0

Before Christmas I had a letter from the court giving a time and date in mid February for the hearing. Preparation for witness statement is in gear. Today I had a letter from VCS saying they are confident they have a strong case, however, they are mindful that under Civil Procedure Rules, litigants are expected to try to resolve their disputes. They offer to accept a reduced settlement of £125 payable within 14 days.
Obviously, I will ignore their offer, but as I don't have a dispute with them (they seem to have a dispute with me!) I was thinking of inviting a counter offer of them to drop the litigation and make a substantial donation to Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Will ponder that one.0 -
Maybe the first signs of a stutter by VCS?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This morning I received a letter from VCS litigation department enclosing a Notice of Discontinuance regarding the claim. Will await further notice from the court before filing the paperwork. Could the claim resurface up to 5 years in the future, as there have been numerous historical claims on the forum.0
