The "final demand" arrived this morning with threats about CCJ's, negative impact on credit ratings and employability. Highly creative. It's nice that they accept all major credit cards. Will await further developments after the deadline for action of 21/5/19

    Hi Wharfedale,
Interested to read your familiar tale of Abbey Walk Parking and Vehicle Control Services. We were in the same position as yourself in that VCS sent out a PCN after the 14 days allowed by the POFA 2012. We appealed to them and after rejection appealed to the Independent Parking Committee which again was rejected. After dozens of letters and calls (can't remember how they got our number) from VCS and BW legal we now have County Court Claim Letter issued 28/05/19. The reason I post this is just to prepare you as our PCN originated on 02/10/15...That's right 2015!! I'm just having to spend more precious hours having to formulate a defense statement on the County Court paperwork to send back within 14 days. I can't tell you how angry this makes me after clearly setting out our points of contentions many times years ago....

JigMan, if you would like help with processing your claim, you would be wise to post that information on a new thread.

You would be wise to do what KeithP suggests because you don't put your defence on the MCOL paperwork. When you do start your own thread make sure you tell us the issue date of your claim form.

Thanks for your replies but this is the first post I have ever made on a "forum" and I don't know how to start a new thread.
Not sure why I wouldn't put a defence statement on the "defence" section of the court paperwork though...as per Le_Kirk.
I think also you can get bogged down with too much info...

That will all be explained to you when you start your own thread. Be assured - there is a very good reason.

It is unfair on Wharfedale to try and take over his thread.
Trying to deal with the different issues of two different people in one thread can only lead to confusion.

When you signed up to MSE forums you were offered comprehensive guidance on how to use the forums.

I've started a new thread as suggested. I meant no offence to Le_Kirk, just confused and annoyed...apologies

Still in 'ignore' mode, but for an update, a 'Letter before claim' dropped through the door from the 'legal department' asking me to pay £160, and fill in a reply form before 4/7/19. The form asks for name, address - which the may already have, and email, phone numbers, which they are not going to get.
    Will await further events.

Do not ignore a Letter of Claim.

You should react to that Letter of Claim as described in the first few paragraphs of post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.
