1st successful; quote today, 80 pounds to lift and remove kitchen flooring -MDF is what it's made off-tile effect.
This can be arranged hopefully next two weeks, only needing next Mondays quick step livin Lino to be quoted.
Excellent start, as I had no way of lifting flooring myself.
I'll mention to next weeks floor provider if kitchen door needs trimmed and any additions to provide and installation.
Amazing that I don;t need anything disconnected until installation is booked.

Too late to receive quote today though floor fitter managed 10 min visit to measure kitchen floor.
I can choose my own retailer or accept a supply+install+removal of old floor.
I'll get electric cooker disconnected and help floor fitter shift white goods into bedroom-very short flat distance.
Kitchen door has gap above current floor so no cutting required.
With carperight quickstep luxury vinyl tiles I seen online -my existing floor would have to be 100% dry and totally flat which I cannot guarantee until it's lifted.
Sounds like the laminate suitable for kitchen floors (with underlay) is the sensible product.
Next post with quote sometime tomorrow -and could be arranged in 1 or 2 weeks time.

Sat 31st Aug confirmed.
A week or two to arrange electrician in advance to disconnect cooker.
Could possibly find some kitchen painting time before floor is Lifted and replaced with quickstep laminate.

Is an electrician essential to disconnect and re connect Electric cooker.
Could I switch off cooker from electric box -there are symbols and switches, which was installed a year or two earlier.
As I have recently viewed via you tube, it's a simple task of unscrewing Wires similar to a plug.

Edited, what's an RCD in Electric box to ensure the Neutral circuit is stopped.

Always one that suggest hidden costs.
1 -current floor was though to be MDF -since lifted it's grey slate style Laminate click style -very smart when I moved in 2009 -Nil Additional Cost.
2.a Any timber I assume are under a sheet of slate or sometihing whatever make the base of a top floor flat roofed property built late 60's I think.
2.b Look as though the White porcelain tiles. -larger than the 16 pound ones I had viewed are maybe part of the original floor? Or possibly laid at later stage -their breaking up and think they'll possibly be lifted and disposed off next Sat.
3. Extra hidden Costs:-
145 pounds ERG group Pest /control -Highly Recommended -treats ground bugs this morning
114 pounds 2 nights weekend stay in nearby hotel as Kitchen was deemed unsafe.

Thanks mser's at least I didn't opt to go ahead with flooring last Sat' and the fitter did advise to go the treatment route 1st -quite sensible.
