....ok, but don’t take this the wrong way...but calling on the Monday (after being told vendor was away for weekend), and emailing on the Tuesday may come across as ‘desparate’ And will not assist you with negotiations....
If that desperation comes across an EA will be the first to sniff it...
Perhaps on the next one, tell them the reasons you love it, and if you can’t offer (or won’t) offer asking.... tell them why....
Make it clear your keen to proceed, but at this price....and leave it at that....
You might find it puts you in a position of greater strength or negotiation....0 -
Update for those interested - we've fully pulled out of the other purchase now. All official. Can't say I don't regret it just due to losing so much ground but partner is confident we've done the right thing.
Other vendor has come back stating she's willing to wait and wants asking price (£220k). I said I understood her reasons but she's going to be waiting a long time, EA laughed and said she couldn't agree more but some vendors are just unrealistic.
