BT RETENTION DEAL . Got lots of spiel from the man at BT who was telling me BT have the faster, more efficient lines etc, so the price will be little higher than our competitors. Can this be true? Surely every BB provider does not have separate cables from the exchange to the green box in our village. It's all coming down the same cables isn't it?

Of course it all comes down the same cable.
The BT person was errrr....talking a load of rubbish.
In fact some people might say the person was telling porkies.

I have Fibre 1 from BT & pay £23.99 per month.
That seems to be about as cheap as you can get.

greyteam1959 Thanks for you prompt reply. BT are offering me £27.99 a month. How did you get £23.99? That's PlusNet's price. Have you noticed the Broadband contract is for 18 months and the Line Rental Saver is for 12 months. So out of sync for 6 months when you are still in contract and the price goes up.

BT bb is faster at 52 meg than 38 meg of others .


Price rises have changed and appear to be built in to the contract from the start .
Not sure re Ofcom rules on this .


Contracts are for different time scales .
I have ALR 12 months BB 18 months TV 24 months .

I've just tried to haggle with BT and the best they will give me on Superfast Fibre 1 unlimited is £31.99. Has anyone else managed to get £25.99?
