HELP with unique accident

This driving attitude seems to more and more common.
One driver who just because they think they have right of way etc always want to blame the other party in the event of an incident.
Suggest you friend goes to specsavers if he didn't see another car coming head on for him.
His attitude sadly was "Its my right of way/priority, I'm going anyway"0 -

I see this all the time. Waiting at temporary lights and when they turn green you can't proceed because there's about half a dozen cars still coming towards you who have obviously decided to "chance it" when the lights their side have gone from green to amber/red. Obviously there has to be a significant delay between one side going red and the other side going green to allow cars to get through the road works but a lot of people are to impatient and cheat.
Part of the problem is the timing of the lights as they often seem to be on red for an inordinate amount of time.
Still, as others have said that may not be an excuse for your friend. Did your friend and the taxi driver not realise they were on a collision course?0 -
The attitude nowadays at traffic lights seems to be - if it's green, it's my turn, I can go regardless if the way forward is clear.
The lights then turn red and you are stranded in the midst of the traffic flow rinse, repeat - instant traffic jam0 -
Seems to be a more common attitude these days - look to blame somebody (else) regardless of how avoidable the incident was....

I know somebody who reversed into a car parked on the road but partly onstructing his driveway. No damage to the car hit, but significant damage to his car. He was furious - even had a reversing camera on his car but didn't use it. Would not accept that he could have knocked on the neighbours doors to find out whose car it was and ask for it to be moved. Just had the attitude "why should I, the idiot blocked my access". He got the bill for repairs to his car, and still moans about it.

Yes - I have both seen this and been involved in such a jam. Utter chaos made worse by protracted "discussions" as to who will have the (often) tricky job of reversing back through the roadworks!0 -
:DIf we want to talk anecdotes, I'm assured by a friend that this is true.
He was the passenger in a car driving along with a line of parked cars/roadworks etc.on the right (They had gone past temporary lights on green). A driver came the other way towards them, on their side. Having nowhere to go, except up a high kerb onto the pavement, friends driver stops.
The other driver continued towards them, and my friend swears she took her hands off the wheel and waved them in the air, whilst he could clearly see her mouthing "There's no room!" as she ran head on straight into them!
I'd have loved to have seen dash cam footage of thatI want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Driving through red lights is becoming increasingly common. A few days ago as I stopped for a light that changed to red as I got to it, it wasn't a casual stop but I could have stopped quicker and would have been lying if I had claimed I couldn't stop, I noticed the car following had accelerated then had to jump on the brakes. He clearly planned to follow me through the light despite his distance from it and how easy it would be for him to stop. Whenever I go through a red light which changes as you pass it and stopping would be in effect an emergency stop the car behind always seems to follow.
It now seems that that amber is irrelevant and stopping is only required if you didn't witness the light changing to red.0 -
Amber isn't irrelevant, it means put your foot down to get by before red shows...

Unfortunately you're right. A local set of lights at a T junction in a busy area regularly has red light jumpers blocking the road. I'm not a big fan of cameras but wouldn't be surprised if they become more common at traffic lights.Amber isn't irrelevant, it means put your foot down to get by before red shows...0
