Shark vacuums

Thanks for the heads-up, I've just received my 601 (£159) after owning a "Never Loses Suction" Lift-Away by Morphy Richards for years. I believe it was a re-badged Shark before they launched properly in the UK, but it is currently being abused by workmen during my house renovation!
I remain sceptical that the new Duoclean and even newer Anti-hair Wrap tech would cope with extremely long dog hair, but the 601 has accessible brushes which will make my life easier.
I've used it once on just-vacuumed-with-old-hoover floors, and the results are both impressive and disgusting! I have hidden it away from the builders/electrician/plumber and they can continue to ruin the old model and I'll keep the new Shark to myself."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
Re-opening this thread as I have query on similar themes.
I can't decide how seriously to take the Which? Rating.
I'm torn between these two models of Shark Vacuum cleaners (Typically looking for an upright cleaner and not bothered about it being cordless)
1-
Shark Anti Hair Wrap Upright Vacuum Cleaner XL with Powered Lift-Away and TruePet AZ950UKT - (£399 on Currys, but £249 from sharkvacuum.co.uk) - This seams to be the most expensive model with every all in, but is only rated 70% on Which?
2-
Shark Lift-Away Upright Vacuum Cleaner with TruePet NV602UKT - £249 on AO.com, but is the best rated 78% on Which?

They are two different Shark vacuums. The NV602 is their standard, basic vacuum cleaner and the AZ950 is their top of the range DuoClean vacuum. I'd recommend getting one of the Duoclean versions but if you don't need the extra capacity of the AZ950 then go for the NV702, which is similar to the NV602 but has the DuoClean functionality. The non pet version of the NV702 is currently on sale at Shark for £189 including an optional, and handy, car detailing kit and all you need to turn it into the pet version is to buy the separate pet attachment for £19.99. You could also look at the slightly bigger NZ801UK with anti hair wrap for an extra £10 at £199.
FYI I have have one of the older NV800UKT models and thoroughly recommend it.1 -
