Just wanted to let you all know that my lovely mum passed away this afternoon (20/12/07) and thank you all for your kindness and support.

My heart goes out to you, you had such a short time to come to terms with the illness, but I reckon those days you crammed a lifetime of memories into.

I can only guess that with xmas being so close, its a time of year that will be hard to face, but remember that whereever your mum is she will be smiling down on you.

You obviusoly have a lot to do and arrange, but one thing make some time for yourself, even if its 5 mins locked in the bathroom,

    im so sorry. x

So sorry to hear that. I am sure the time you had with her was most precious. Be strong this Christmas, I know it will be hard. I lost my mum, completely out of the blue, in August, and I am finding it hard - we had absolutely no time to prepare and were shellshocked. Though I am sure even though you knew, it made the loss no easier to deal with, I am so pleased you at least had some time with her to say what you wanted to say.

God bless - my thoughts are with you and your family. xxxx

Thinking of you at this sad time. I'm glad your mother is at peace now and I'm sure she appreciated all the love and support you have shown her throughout. You will never forget her, she will live on in your forever.

    God bless.

  • Oh I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, my thoughts are with you.

Before my Dad died in June, I was always sceptical about a "hereafter" - hoping there was one but never feeling sure, but since he passed away, I am absolutely positive he is still with us. The strangest things keep happening and there's no other explanation than that it's Dad, still here and still watching and loving us.

I hope you get the same comfort once the shock has passed, because your Mum will want you to know she's watching over you.

My mum lost her 1st daughter of cancer when she was 18mths old, I was born 2 yrs later, my daughter is named afta my sister.

The 1st strange thing afta having my daughter - the steady stream of visitors - have your photo take - one my friend (her name Karen same as daughter), on her photo there is a swirlin the picture, at the back, nothing on any others.

My daughter is named after my sister, re strange things - when my daughter was younger she had "alpahebet alfie" bear, when she was in her cot the toys were at the bottom of the cot, and now with her bed, every so oftern Alfie starts playing.

    You never know. x
