Santander have just closed my accounts. CIFAS Marker

So just tried to log on to my online banking (which was working fine this morning) and it said my online access was blocked and i should contact them to get it unblocked.
I phone Santander, and i'm placed on hold for several mins.
The lady comes back and tells me i need to contact CIFAS, and that Santander basically do not want my business any further (been banking with them for just over a year) and basically wanted to end the phone call there and then. Wouldn't give me any further information or anything.
I contacted CIFAS as directed and they won't give me any information over the phone, and just tell me i need to request my 'data' via their website (which i have done, takes 10 days)
So now I'm 100% panicking currently, i don't know what the CIFAS marker is. I've only just changed my banking details with Tax Credits to my Santander account, which i'm now going to have to change again (making me look like an idiot) I get paid in 3 weeks and have no bank account, and don't even know if i'm going to be able to open one now because of a CIFAS marker and my shot credit rating. I feel I was lucky to be able to open a basic account with Santander it's that bad.
What can i do, i feel like i'm going to have a heart attack.

You've not been using it for gambling, crypto-currency &c have you?
What about old debts, previous bankruptcies and so forth? Is there anything in your past banking history that may have marked you out as someone to watch?0 -
It will be a fraud marker , money mule transactions (transfering funds for a 3rd party) or large unexplained deposits and withdrawals.
Anything that you have done that you think may be red flagging you ?Ex forum ambassador

OP's recent posts mention substantial debts, payday loans and the prospect of bankruptcy, in addition to previous gambling problems. So there could be any number of flags.
OP
I'm not pointing the finger in any way, just giving others some context.
I really hope you manage to get some help.0 -
As Badger said it could be anything, on top of this i think my job may now be at risk! Just had a very awkward conversation with the Director.
I'm not a money mule, not had any big deposits or anything like that. Money does get past around between mine and my partner's separate bank accounts, and i was transferring silly amounts amounts of money between my own santander accounts, by silly amounts i mean like £6.38 for home insurance to 1 account, £63.13 to another for the phone bill. it's how i manage my wages each month0 -
None of the transfers you mention seem any different to the way a lot of us move our cash around between our many providers but some of your other posts do refer to Bitcoin, bankruptcy, raising complaints etc.
Presumably your partner's accounts are unaffected - are they at Santander too?0 -

Out of interest, why would gambling cause an account to be closed and a CIFAS marker applied?0 -

Nope none, I've not started Bankruptcy yet its just at the initial stage atm awaiting me to pay my £680 fee.
Wish i had the money to buy Bitcoin's etc lol0 -
If it’s legimate salary only and gambling, none of these are reason for a cifas marker.
You would need to have committed some form of fraud.
However as you have had gambling issues if you lied about any details when obtaining a loan or applying for credit, this may be well why0
