Back into the work routine today, which will hopefully help me keep to plan.

    Food for today

    B: overnight oats
    L: crustless quiche & salad
T: pork mince pasta & salad

I bought the pinch of nom book the other day (my 'this will help me stick to plan and lose weight' moment) and while the food looks good (though there is a lot of low fat cream cheese, I would expect quark?) It's calorie counted, there are no sw he's or syns. I was expecting it to be like the website.

So I'm going to have to get some post it notes and do it myself. A bit disappointing, I thought. :(

If I can find it someone posted on our SW group facebook page a list of syn values for some of the PON recipes. I'll see if I can find it again and post it.

    Denise

Here's the list (in book order rather than alphabetical!):

PINCH OF NOM SYN VALUES FOR EVERYDAY LIGHT RECIPES

Apple and cinnamon pancakes HEB + 2 syns
Full English Wraps 0.25 HEA + sausage syn Maple & Bacon French Toast HEB + 2 syns
Lemon & blueberry baked oats HEB + 1 syn
    Chicken Satay 3.5 syns
    Honey Chilli Chicken 1.5 syns
Pesto Pasta less than 0.5 syn
Sea Bass & Miso risotto Free
    Yorkshire pudding Wrap 3 syns
Chicken, Ham & Leek Pie 3 syns
    Tuna Pasta Bake 0.5 syns
    Cheese Twists 1.5 syns
    Cheesecake stuffed strawberries 2 syns

    Creme Brûl!e 2 syns
    Gooseberry Fool 1 syn
    Apple Strudel HEB + 2

Please check the syns yourself as I've just copied it over (apart from the chicken satay which I checked as it only said 1 syn and I could see it was definitely more than that!)

I'm planning on checking the syns for all the recipes at some point but no idea when but hoping to make a start on it today! I've written these syns in but plenty more to do and also check these!

Welcome to debtfree and good luck for your weight loss.

    Hi
Was wondering if is would be ok for me to join in?

I followed slimming world before and !ost two stone but stopped going around 18 maths ago. I knew I'd put on some weight back on but almost collapsed in shock when I stood on scales earlier, I now have 3 stone to lose!! Oh my days, I am still stunned.

Anyhow, wishing it away won't work so here I am with begging bowl looking to join, the only bowl that hasn't been full of food of late unfortunately.

Ps, though I have been a member for a few years I think I have only posted a couple of times and am unsure of how to post other than using the quick reply at bottom of page. If anyone could direct me further that'd be grand.
Dear dear, maybe you don't have space for this dafty! :)

I thought the same thing, only consolation I had about it was buying it in Costco, for £9, not £20!

GTQ profiteroles aren't too bad a choice for dessert (depending on how many you had of course!) @ 3.5 syns each with cream & sauce, so you could have 4 within syns if you didn't have any other syns!

Ah, but if only it were the 4 profiteroles:D

I pre-ordered mine from A*azon so paid £10. Like you I'm not impressed with it as I too thought they'd at least have the same format as the website.

I was even less impressed when I saw pictures of the 2 authors - they are both huge!!! They give the impression that they have lost loads with SW but quite honestly I wonder whether they have!

Just had my breakfast of a cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel (pity I got the wrong ones!) for HEB + 4.5 syns (waste of syns to be honest but I've got them so they have to be eaten - think there's only another couple left!)

Not sure what we'll have for lunch yet as we will be out and about. Hopefully we'll be able to get home without having to eat out! If we do it'll be a jacket potato, cottage cheese & salad.

Tonight's dinner will be a shepherds pie using LO roast lamb, loads of veg + LO Syn Free gravy instead of stock.

HEA - milk as usual in drinks
    HEB - bagel
Syns - bagel 4.5, cream cheese 1.5. Nothing else planned as need to do a bit of damage limitation as usual, LOL!

Just wanted to wish you luck for tomorrow bubbs xx

I have been completely off plan today, very disappointed as I was so good the rest of the week. Not sure what happened just escalated throughout the day.

I am off next week with the kids so need to be careful, tomorrow we are off to the science museum I shall take some salad for lunch so should be safe and we will be doing lots of walking, so hopefully should help with today's slip up.
    Thankyou :D
