Thank Goodness Brexit will not halt immigration

It was a slight worry for many of us that Brexit would reduce immigration which in turn would damage the healthy property market that we have. I have made a few precautions just in case and put two properties on the market as a financial buffer, I was expecting at worst a 5% fall in property prices before they picked up again. Now I can see prices starting to rise again as soon as this year on this good news

There are people who own properties in UK who need visas to visit UK or never visited UK.
This is legal as UK law does not prohibit anyone from buying properties here.
Many countries have laws that only citizens or local residents are allowed to buy land/properties.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

Nothing wrong with that, property like anything else is business pure and simple. Thank goodness they are investing in our country, I welcome the extra wealth0 -

Only thing wrong is that as there is not enough houses, it creates a shortages and rising price. This effectively pushes out not so wealthy local people off the market.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

There are probably 100 million plus bedrooms in the UK, and I personally do not see a problem with sharing bedrooms as well, even outside of the normal relationship convention. If anything the UK property market could handle several more million people at the very least without building one new house.
Some people really need to see what is happening around the world before complaining about the UK housing market. God helps us if we get Corbyn and his housing policies, he will bankrupt us in a year.0 -

More homes really need to be joined up with other infrastructure.
There's a scramble for homes built on any free patches around here, but no clear plan to bolster schooling or infrastructure.
Everyone knows how access to good schools enhances property values.
There have been millions invested in an East Cheshire route out to the Peak district. Wouldn't it be better to build entire new villages and modern towns along these new arterial routes, with the best in green technology?
Migrant workers need access to quality transport. To encourage them out of cities you need better links.0 -
Been there, done that, don't want to try it again and don't see why others should have to.
We can all have our own bedrooms and several to spare if that's what you want, but you need to do what it takes to achieve that. Luxury housing is not a God given right, though housing is to a degree.0 -

Others should have to if they don’t make sufficient arrangements for themselves.
Those relying on the taxpayer should not expect luxury. Why should they?
If you want better then work for it, get a second job or move or improve your skills.0 -

I don't however think it is reasonable however to expect people to share bedrooms with complete strangers no matter whether they are relying on the taxpayer or limited resources of their own. My opinion, others may not agree.0
