I forgot to let you know when :o

    But in my HHC I:
    set the timer
put a bowl of pots to soak
    put out the rubbish
    put out the recycling
    fed the birds
unloaded WM and draped contents on radiators / airer
    WULTD bowl of pots
rinsed DS's protein drinks shakers out - boked
refilled bowl with pots and put to soak
    hmmm 4 minutes left
    started to DUPA
    beep
set timer for another 10 minutes
    finished DUPA
dashed upstairs to wedge toilet door with toilet roll to stop it banging (now blowing a hoolie here!)
    5 minutes shredding
    beep

hmm think I need to dash back upstairs and close the windows - tis pelting down

    Kitchen done
    All of downstairs hoovered
    Garage swept of leaves
Pots at back or garden moved and leaves removed.
Pots in green house over winter sorted and now back outside
Weeds removed from front driveway and one path in garden.
Back inside now as it is very very windy out there, trees blowing about all over the place, one came down over night near neighbours fence.

I'm not sure what to do with his old jumpers and all of his shoes, which is where *I think* the problems are.

chazzer/bin/recycling/fling... Do it when he's not looking if its old and dead.. I'm working my way through 6 of OH's t-shirts.. some are older than Moses I swear! He puts them in the wash.. I put them in the bin! I'm not going through his cupboards though.

I've been unable to do anything all week, my hip has had to be drugged as it hurt to breathe so I have been in potato mode.. Today I MUST do things so I cannot drug the hip and I will get some sorting done.

OH has a bookcase to empty, put in the car and take to DS1's house. He can clear the garden path too if the rain holds off.. it was torrential for 3 hours from about 8:30am.. but gloriously sunny now.

My £2000 PPI cheque arrived this time with the correct name on so when that clears I am having a shower put in the bathroom and a toilet installed downstairs. It is money I spent in 1998-2003.. I doubt I will miss it but we will all benefit greatly from a shower.. me most of all! Anything left over (laughs like a crazy person.. as if there will be any left over!!) will be put in the prom dress fund for Moomin!

    Washing catch up,
    folding
    putting away
sort Twinkles clothes (I have found a home for her cast offs!)
    RSVP to wedding invite
deflea girls (Pixie is lopping.. there is a serious problem in her class!)

Girls are tidying the front room.. they made the mess, they can clean it up!

First of all.. remove itchy jumper!!! I have an allergy rash and the jumper is irritating me!

  • Sink degrotted and unblocked. Washing up done. Countertops done. Appliances done.

Himself is cooking, so the hob and floor can wait.

Found out the latest job application actually does need a lot of time put into it. So it's not as bad as I thought. And the money's very good if he gets anywhere with it.

Felines are commencing the Spring Moult. So they need brushing and once the Knit-Your-Own-Cat situation is finished (usually because one of them goes a bit stoopid after a while and steals the brush), himself can vacuum up the detritus.

I'll let them have their lunchtime nap first, though. They're obviously shattered from wandering into the kitchen after their elevenses to half past twelveses nap, poor dears.

  • More washing up done. Reorganised the lower two shelves in the cupboard where the crockery goes, so cups are on the higher level with a few glasses and the plates & bowls are spread out across the width, rather than stuffed into one half.

Hob clean. Countertops done again after lunch/breakfast. Floor swept.

Bathmat in WM with teatowels, towel and cloths. Cat bowls soaking.

Himself has taped the electric meter cupboard shut (is there nothing Gaffa Tape can't solve - thinking of the diagram of engineering, where if it moves but it shouldn't, Gaffa, if it doesn't move but should - WD40) and taken more recycling out.

About to do the glass shelves and coffee table/dusting.

DS's bed stripped and remade; floor in there vacuumed (vacuum was upstairs anyway as I CBA to put it away after last use) and kitchen cleaned. I vacuumed out the removable lint trap in the TD. Then I squeezed my hand inside and discovered a lint carpet in the innards  I have hauled out what I could reach.

  • Glass shelves, pictures, TV, bookcase doors and coffee table done.

Cutlery drawer hoiked out, cleaned, washed and put back minus several duplicates. All cutlery put away.

Fridge drawers hoiked out and washed. Blocked drainage hole unblocked with four cocktail sticks bunched together and held very tightly. Bottom and sides of fridge, including seals, wiped. I have established we have 6 assorted bottles of juices, 2pt milk, a couple of sauce jars and less than one shelf of food left, even though it appeared to be full when I opened the door.

Bathroom squirted, wiped and rinsed. Toilet scrubbed.

Downstairs toilet scrubbed and shelf/mirror cleaned. Must do the sink next time I'm in there.

2 loads of washing done and hung up on horse by back door. One to do.

Cat tail trodden on but apparently not broken, even though he needed wrapping up in my cardigan and cuddled to feel better. Tart. Is now having dinner #2 because they've only had 2 meals today - and what poor housecat could live on such meagre rations?

    Laptop wiped over.

Himself looks slightly disconcerted, having emerged from applications upstairs. Has apparently been motivated to do something about his [strike]teenage boy pit[/strike] the studio again. Wouldn't know, because I hardly ever set foot in there, but I did hear the loft ladder a couple of times. [strike]Bet it still looks a state in there[/strike].

    Extra jobs for tomorrow (other than making damn sure the kitchen is left clean next time he uses it);

    Wall mirrors.
Bedroom - clothes put away where possible.
Vacuuming stairs, landing and bedroom would be nice.

Oh, and I did something I'd been putting off for weeks - I bought some stupid expensive clothes and sensible shoes, but didn't want to take them out of the packaging to try on as they'd have been ruined by the state of the place with cat hairs. I took them out. I think the shoes fit - might feel a bit of a squeeze right at the end of a long day, but they seem to be perfect with tights. And the trousers are amazing. Really heavy tweed, wide leg, turnups, high waist, belt loops and real pockets. Proper 1940s style. They'll be great for interviews with a lightweight top. And they actually fit :D

So, following my rule of one thing in = at least one thing out, I got rid of two pairs of shoes that were in reality, too knackered to ever wear again and a pair of leggings that were as cheap and nasty as they looked. And they never fitted quite right.

I did put the trousers straight back in the packaging, however. They can stay pristine until I need them.

There's still organising and whatnots to do, but it feels so much less of a chore to buzz around for twenty minutes at a time between slouching on the settee.

  • Morning all,

Absolutely no idea where this week has gone. Seriously need to be in next week, the week is looking bonkers already. I need to get the kids some bits of clothing but have zero money so that's today sorted - eBay listing.

    Have lovely days all x
